What an Animalic Scent!
Now I have another vintage miniature to test. The Marbert Gentleman Eau de Toilette really smells very animalic. As a whole composition, the finish is perhaps a bit too much for me. The longevity is quite good at 8 hours, while the sillage might be a little weaker.
The top note starts off very animalic and unfortunately also brings a certain "toilet block aroma" into the fragrance. Alongside this, there are green and herbal nuances with clove. The heart note has a floral scent of garden carnations, lavender, rose geraniums, iris, and violets. The base offers a mixture of earthy, woody, and animalic aromas. Here I recognize oak moss, castoreum, musk, and civet.
In the end, the scent is just too heavy for me. Therefore, the miniature will move on.
