Papatchouli
There are certain fragrance chords that magically capture the spirit of the times and, should the responsible nose carefully reinterpret said fragrance flatterers decades later, provide a heart-warming sense of well-being.
With this fragrance, I can only confirm that it doesn't take much to treat yourself to a well-groomed and pleasant aura.
Sizzle!
Oh Marbert, this is where I become overjoyed! Your classic man instantly catapults me as a three-cheese high into my dad's bathroom at the time.
The carefree early 1970s.
I immediately recognize his beloved patchouli, which at first timidly gives way to bitter orange and lavender.
Everything begins rather subdued, soft and entirely in keeping with the color taste of those years, brownish shades and a strange orange.
The oakmoss does not disappoint, together with the dark herbs it celebrates the morning shave.
Nevertheless, the typical objection of the subversive decade can be smelled here.
Cinnamon prevents the otherwise too trivial fleetingness of care. It activates something in the brain, one is always tempted to interpret the contrasts of the spice bark in its mysteriously diverse range of scents to the classic companions juniper berry and lavender. Light and dark like the course of life.
And that's where the magic begins: golden honey allows the patchouli that was so influential in the social changes of the time to slowly and calmly take over the beguiling effect.
Together with the cedar and slightly rounded off with amber, the grass does not drift into the cellar, it remains in the light. This is ensured by the bright components mentioned above. The homely warmth of the fireplace.
And it's warming, yes!
I could quote many a fragrance reference from the 1970s here, but the classic man can stand on his own two feet.
It tells the story of how you can and can gently and even-handedly put things behind you without much fanfare. A little liberation to sizzle.
And still remain loving.
Unfortunately, I was unable to research the creator of the fragrance, which is very unfortunate. His fragrance is not Marbert's perennial bestseller for nothing.
Thanks to an unknown source!
Not to be despised is the matching shower gel, a true fragrance embrace of the senses.
And always well-balanced.
This patchouli is so easy to wear that you don't have to worry about waiting for the dreariest, rainiest fall day.
Nah, nah, in the life-affirming spring, it embraces you so beautifully and familiarly.
Flared pants may be a thing of the past, but a turtleneck fits perfectly with the scent today.
And a beautiful grin.
Have you ever longed for that heart-warming hug? I think a swish or two will give that feeling.
Oh yes, but before that, please don't forget to tie a yellow ribbon on the old, old tree.
It is said to help keep a promise.
