Screaming Foam
Imagine a bubble bath: fluffy, crackling, just right for sinking into. And now imagine that it’s an icy bubble bath. Filled with hissing flakes that swirl up in large cheerful swarms as soon as you move. This scent is like a dive into such a bath for me. I must say, I have never smelled a citrus like this before. I wouldn’t exactly issue a Sicilian authenticity certificate either. It’s a rather synthetic interpretation of citrus, perhaps also a Japanese one:
A bit watery, a bit transparent, not quite as euphoric and plump as one is used to from Italian contexts. But it is fresh. Bath-fresh. A little spherical. Underneath, the mint is ever-present, creating that constant association with crunchy ice. I also perceive what is called a "metallic accord" here, but I find it not very pleasant. The sharp sting it spreads didn’t need to be there, in my opinion. So, it tips into something clanging and a bit cheap after a short while.
This perfume is full of life and fleeting shimmer, but I can’t take it for long; it screams.
