Makes You Feel Good!
And I am amazed!
While I could hardly appreciate the other Mercedes Club fragrances, "Club Blue" made my summery heart bloom a little today. Outside there are clouds and rain, on my wrist a dream of mandarin and sunshine. This should appeal to everyone, not just in the Asian market where it is exclusively available. A bit of a shame.
"Club Blue" reminds me of "Artisan" by John Varvatos, which can be taken as a compliment. Fans of the JV fragrance who happen to be on a business trip in Asia should keep their eyes open at airports, etc. "Club Blue" is light, easy to wear, and fun. Those who enjoy creamy mandarins with a hint of sparkling water will be quite frustrated that it is not available here. Therefore: Thanks to Don for the sample!
Sometimes simple is just good. Simple and effective, a scent for the convertible or the beach party. Anything but complex or special, yet what it aims to achieve, it does with flying colors. In hotels or wellness areas, it could easily compete against expensive rivals and satisfy even more pampered noses. Despite its youthful lightness, it has a calming effect. A sample that could go straight into the fridge and would get a boost when served ice-cold. An ideal hangout perfume for us Europeans, and for Asians, probably a daily companion. I'm putting on my swim trunks now and treating myself to a cocktail. It makes me crave vacation and the easy life.
Bottle: good for Mercedes fans, for the rest, well...
Sillage: a delicate hint... absolutely great after showering!
Longevity: 4 hours is average for summer.
Conclusion: far better than the other Club fragrances from Mercedes... the Northeastern Asians really have it good! Sparkling and effervescent, with sunshine in the heart and not too snobbish. Infectiously positive and surprisingly one-dimensional!
