An entertaining dream of tobacco
This is my first review, so please bear with me :)
I've been looking for a really nice and NOT oriental tobacco fragrance for some time now.
As a result, I went to my well-stocked perfume store to ask for a tobacco fragrance.
The nice owner presented me with a few fragrances, including this beautiful bottle along with "Tobacco Vanille", "Terre de Hérmes" and a few other leathery tobacco fragrances.
I already knew Molton Brown bottles through Parfumo, these have already caught my attention.
The first spray on the scented paper was already different from the previous ones I've smelled, but nothing too overpowering either.
A very spicy, slightly sweet and cuddly fragrance.
"Put it on your skin" I thought, although the fragrance is really nice.
The beginning is very peppery and citrusy, although the peppery note is more of an accompaniment to the slightly spicy and sweet ginger.
The tobacco is very pleasantly incorporated and works as a base with the apparent nutmeg and wood - for me it is more of a cinnamon note.
The radiance of the ginger in combination with probably the most beautiful cinnamon is wonderful!
When the fragrance starts to settle, there is also a really subtle balsamic note, which is barely noticeable - a plus for me.
The wine note is not present or I would not have associated a wine note with the fragrance.
That's due to the woody, balsamic quality.
So if you perceive the sillage of a hint of spicy red wine. But don't be put off - it's barely perceptible and is purely an association.
I can hardly determine violet or iris notes.
The sweetness that the fragrance also exudes may well come from the two components.
While having a cigarette in front of the store, I kept smelling my arm and realized very quickly: "This is the one".
So I bought this beautiful bottle with the delicious fragrance for €159.
The only bitter aftertaste with this fragrance is the radiance.
This actively lasts no longer than an hour, at least that's how I perceive it.
After that, it becomes very close to the skin despite the "Eeu de Parfum" and the, according to the seller, almost 25% fragrance oil content.
It's a real shame that this fragrance has such poor staying power. Nevertheless, I do not regret the purchase!
I hope you enjoyed my little insight.
My name says it all ;)
