Solar floral in disguise

Instead of Ambrée, this should be called Narciso Solaire. Out of all the Narciso cube EDPs it's the lightest, the least musky and the most appropriate for warm weather. I love the white EDP, but I don't think it works in summer at all, while this one is easy to wear even on hot days.

It's very much in line with the current trend of salted vanillic florals. And while all the other cubes are easily recognizable Narciso Rodriguez creations, this one could also be by another brand.
Narciso Ambrée has a salty, sun-kissed skin vibe. I smell heaps of ylang-ylang and even more frangipani on a base of intense cashmeran, but only small doses of amber and my beloved Narciso musk (which is not to be confused with the NR For Her musk). The beige/light orange bottle color is very fitting for the warm, creamy, but also bright and airy scent.

I would have preferred something called Narciso Ambrée to be a warm, wintery amber version of the fluffy musk overload from the other cubes. Instead they made it a rather typical beachy floral with just a touch of amber. It's a pretty perfume, but it doesn't stand out to me.
Maybe my measly 7 rating is more of a 7.2 though, just not quite enough for 7.5.

Blooms in warm weather

Lovely florals and signature Narciso musk. For me this is 100% a scent that needs warm weather to be at it's best. When it's hot outside and the sun is shining, the frangipani and ylang-ylang really bloom and trail around you in a beautiful bouquet. The musk and amber feel at place and harmonious on sunwarmed and slightly sweaty skin. A spring/summer versatile staple that can be worn to the office or on a night out.

I will say while this is versatile, I would say it is versatile only within the spring/summer seasons. For me at least, when I have tested it on colder days, I find this musk to pull a bit more animalic than the one in other Narciso perfumes like For Her Pure Musc or Musc Noir. I also think the tropical florals get a little lost in the cold air. I have been loving this as the weather warms up, but something feels a little dirtier to me when the weather drops below say 15 degrees C with this one.

Creamy frangipani cashmere with no surprises

Tropical, creamy, gentle, and pretty. I adore frangipani/plumeria, and that is the strongest note of this fragrance. It is a soft yellow cashmere scarf around your shoulders at golden hour. The florals are so sweet it's almost like nectarine. To me this is not powdery at all, it is buttery. It's sexy-adjacent, definitely attractive with the musk, but just a little too sweet and youthful to be truly sensual. When I hug people while wearing this, they go "Mmmm" Though I do need to hug them because there's no sillage at all.

This perfume does not last, does not project, and does not evolve. The layers do not unfold and morph throughout wear, they stay as one steady accord that fades uniformly, and fades faster than I'd expect with the price. If you want something comforting, this is a great choice, as there's no unpredictability.

I generally only wear one spray of any fragrance because I have strong sense of smell. Where a single spray of La Vie Est Belle still hovers around me at the end of the day, with Ambrée I have to deliberately sniff at my wrist or collar two hours after applying. Maybe I should make an exception for Ambrée and do multiple sprays, but with the opaque design I have no idea how much I have left.

Warm ironed cotton

There is an initial blast of flowers that lasts for half an hour.
But afterwards it just smells like a recently ironed cotton blouse.

It has a warm and cozy feel to it and it is what I, a gourmand lover, would consider a beautiful skin scent for summer.

It lasts a whole day on fabric, but it fades away from the skin in about 3-4 hours.

Promising opening, but...

I loved it on a card, then asked for a sample and tried it at home.
After a very promising, bright and somewhat 'tropical/creamy' and unusual, but very nice, opening - as on the paper-strip - on my skin this dries down to something I don't find very interesting.
Could be any modern perfume if you'd ask me.
The creamy goodness from the opening, seems to be washed down by musk and a mainstream flowery musk remains.
I don't get the frangipani in its drydown unfortunately and certainly no amber.
