An iridescent white floral
Lovable. About 2 meters worth of initial sillage that slowly settles close to skin over the first ~1,5 hours. Lily of the valley above – a crisp and vibrant white floral. Clean softness below. A fantasy white flower accord – sugary sweetness, subdued and somewhat chalky, like children's candy necklace. Musk – cozy, dreamlike.
The whole thing smells like slowly waking up from a dream on a distant spring morning. The rays of sun are just barely reaching edges of your bed. Warmth of the clean white sheets is enveloping and lulling you back into a sweet oblivion. A faint scent of an ideal mother's perfume is getting closer and closer. Another minute or two and she'll come in and gently wake you up, just like in the movies, and your whole life until now will fade away like it never happened, and everything will be safe and okay. But for now – mom, please, just a few more minutes.
It's very pretty, but it's also making me melancholic.
I love the contrast between lily of the valley and fantasy white flowers below! Both are technically shades of white, but when put together side by side – the end result glistens in the morning light like the inner layers of a seashell. Iridescence. Mellow, yet mesmerizing.
Once it settles on skin ~1,5 hours in, lily of the valley quickly fades and cotton flower becomes center of the remaining composition. Well, the idea of it. In reality cotton flowers don't have much of a scent, but if they did – this one would fit them quite well. Soft and fuzzy, gently sweet. Warm and textured more than it is flavorful. If it didn't make me feel sad for no reason, I'd love to wear it again.
Over the next few hours it fizzles out to a faint aftertaste – white musk. Clean sheets, warm air. Not for me, but it's a beautiful shade of white. I can see why they named it radiant.
