Eating homemade sweets and catching up with an old friend
A lovely start! Candied raspberries and a little bit of citrus zest on a gooey backdrop – like thick caramel drizzle on a homemade cheesecake. Not a perfect combination of flavors – more like throwing together whatever sweet things you've had at home to make something a bit more special out of them. But the end result is lovable and blended well.
The initial cloud (and its sillage) was a bit too strong for me though – I'm not good with aggressive fruity flavors, and my partner told me he could feel this one from about 2 meters away. But it also fizzled away pretty quickly – less than an hour in it already stopped projecting and settled on my skin.
A lovely finish! Fruity notes dissipated after the first ~2 hours and left just the soft caramel fudge behind. It lasted about ~2,5 hours more. Warm, gentle, toffee-like. I'm generally not into gourmand fragrances, but this one was soft enough not to bother me with its presence. I never wore it before, and yet it felt comfy and familiar, like I was accompanied by an old friend.
It's not flashy, doesn't demand your attention or do anything special. It fades away quickly and once gone – it's not very memorable. But it's cozy. Homely. Like a girl next door. Like a comfort food. It's lowkey, sure, but honestly? Sometimes being lowkey is good.
