a small, personal homeliness
at the moment, my nose does not want to give reliable information about durability, so I come to it maybe later, when the heating air is no longer so blocking...
this fall i spent shuffling through sandal and musk scents.... not least because so much inspiration on the subject came up here...
Several times I've ordered sample bottlings, tested skin-flattering scents, Monoscent G has moved in with me.... the Scent #1 from Zara, after I was allowed to test Santal 33 (thanks again to dear Parfumo for the souk), and whatnot....
tried all the fragrances in search of a little personal homeliness in these difficult times - and I landed here at just the right time.
Long-forgotten fragrance experiences came back to the surface, and after the musk scent of Etro had rejected me for the winter (too cool, will try it again in the spring), I came via Parfumo detours on memories of Wild Love by Nerval sometime to loving descriptions of Muschio Nobile.
And the is then also after a very short sample directly advanced to my Christmas fragrance.
The fragrance begins floral. A mysterious wellness center aroma quietly in the background. I've always wondered what there in the spa so warm-sweet, slightly wicked and not quite incense sticks smells... the sauna infusion it was not in any case.... perhaps relaxing oils... the scent has something of that, never dominant in the foreground, however, but relaxing, close to the skin, discreetly scenting up from the woolly turtleneck - probably imperceptible except by myself in the surroundings. It envelops a comforting creaminess. I think on me the scent stays close to my body, at least I don't seem to have an intrusive musky cloud around me. The scent is with me, present. Musk is there, but not in the familiar drugstore variety, but wearing in the base.
It's not a typical "clean-skin scent", not a molecule scent where you can't guess the components anymore, but it's definitely personal and still, wearing in winter. Fits white landscape and frost.
I don't know right now if I can actually convey a scent impression with this comment.
Overall, I'd say soft-floral-creamy-bodied, unpowdery, untimely, white, infiltrated with musk from times past. Elegant, cozy.
I like it very much.
Ugh.
