I tried Althair a few days ago and it immediately resonated with me. I am tired of all these overly sweet, vanilla-heavy modern men's perfumes. It turns out that all it took was a sprinkle of spice to win me over :)
I already ventured out to find the most affordable bottle when this beauty fell into my hands. While Althair probably leans into a spicier profile, which is what I love, Capriccio's richness blows it out of the water. Unfortunately, I don't have Oajan to compare it directly.
It outshines the ambre perfumes I own (Dr. Vranjes, Boucheron), they seem simplistic in comparison. Although I hadn't initially made the connection to Angels' share, I compared them after seeing it among the "similar" recommendations. Angels' comes across as a sugary, liquory water side by side. I honestly don't find the two similar at all.
Still, there are a few downsides:
1. There is a very good chance you've smelled similar perfumes
2. It is linear from start to finish
3. It's expensive
However, this is a masterful blend of sweet notes, spices (cinnamon), and boozy warmth. Creamy, comforting.
Plenty of credit for longevity too.
The box and the name are cool, but I don't see any connection to the liquid. Oh well...
