Glacier Rock by Oriflame
Before I get started, I want to mention a few things:
I received this bottle for my birthday in 2017,from what I can remember. It was by my older sister who was working for Oriflame. I left it in my bookshelf for a long time. Only in January of 2023 I started to wear it and understand what it has to offer.
This is an aquatic, fresh and sweet fragrance. I pick most of the notes that are listed, from the blood orange, to the vermouth, to the musk at the end. The green accord I only pick up in the drydown.
For me the projection it's just at the skin level. It does not project more than that. Since this is a cheap one I wasn't expecting a lot of power and longevity. The quality it is in this beautiful aquatic and sweet scent that I think it is more valuable than in its actual fragrance price.
This remains for me almost 2 hours. This is the fact that irritates me the most, I want this scent to be more strong and long lasting.
The nose behind this fragrance is Alexandra Carlin, which I recognise from reading the perfumers in the Amouage collection. She worked with Emilie Bevierre-Coppermann on Beloved Man and for the BDK house made Villa Neroli. I was watching the Niche Fragrance Collector channel for about a month and recently he was talking more often about BDK and villa neroli. Recently I went to test some of them in my local boutiques and among them Villa Neroli impressed me the most. So, go check the BDK fragrances the next time you'll have the occasion.
This is a fragrance that has an excellent scent profile, but really weak longevity. From what I’ve read on fragrantica this one is either a Calvin Kleim clone or a Montblanc Legend clone, which I am not familiar with either of them.
Thank you so much for reading my review! This time I had a better experience than in the Diavolo review when it comes down to identifying the individual notes from the scent profile. And again, that is because it was preserved in decent conditions. Next, I will write about Essential by Lacoste.
