Cucumber woods Fun

I shouldn't like this but damn it I do. Cucumber water from the get go and then slowly transitioning into green woodsy scent. Further into the scent you do pick up some florals and you start getting some yellow colour to the scent adding to the green. I can see this being a divisive scent but I love it, you get a cucumber aroma, not that common, mixing green woody freshness with some yellow florals and smokiness, very interesting and fun fragrance.

Sanatorium St. Rémy, Summer 1889

Now I am enchanted, my dear Henri, and I look through the window in Saint Rémy. The sanatorium smells of eucalyptus and sage, golden and silver stars stand in the sky, like ylang flowers and citrus branches, the cypress trees outside flicker with spicy earth and the moon is a green melon. The church tower in the village must be made of Boswellia wood, it breathes incense and Choya Loban and forms wildly swirling waves in the sky over pine forests on the horizon. Henri, I have remnants of cloves in my mouth. I see dark lichens and mosses in clumps, oozing moist from the trees and earth floors, rolling over the last lights in the houses, the cracks in wooden walls, the old glue. Tell Theo, I will send him a picture of it. I think of Holland and want to go home. Greetings from the sanatorium.

Paul Kilers' creations are rightly awarded national and international prizes time and again, in my opinion. He is considered one of the leading figures of the 'Real Perfumery' movement, which emphasizes processing the best possible raw materials in an ecologically conscious, skin-friendly, and long-lasting manner.
"Starry Starry Night" thematizes Vincent van Gogh's famous painting 'Starry Night', which he painted during his time in the sanatorium of Saint Rémy. It opens with herbaceous green sage, eucalyptus, and camphor notes (myrtle, cardamom), fresh-spicy-earthy cypress, stemmy-green-floral citrus aromas (petitgrain, orange blossom, lemon), a hint of ylang, and melon-like green cucumber. The top thus represents the cypress trees as well as the starry sky in the painting, perhaps also the scents of the sanatorium. The heart is defined by moist-dark tree mosses, which cover the rather light woods (pine, Boswellia), along with some clove and lighter incense aromas (Choya Loban, frankincense). In the painting, I find them in the swirls in the sky as well as in the clump-shaped trees near the village. In the base, a slightly adhesive, light Mysore blends with the citrusy green flowers, the dark mosses, and the light woods, possibly representing the houses in the village. The view from the sanatorium window has moderate radiance and lasts all night.
