The name stands for quality
Many years ago I allowed myself the Ur XS - and I have remained an ardent fan of it.
Unfortunately it is only available sporadically at salted prices on ebay, but - what must be, must be.
But I also faithfully buy the other Icks Esses, and have not been disappointed so far.
That's why I rejoiced inside when I discovered Black XS Los Angeles in a general store that was unknown to me until then.
But did I really need it?
Quickly questioned by Smartie Parfumo - and met two enthusiastic commissioners.
So - what must be, must be. See above.
Blind purchase made - and not regretted.
The fragrance conveys what the black golden bottle promises.
On one side it is homey dark - on the other golden shiny.
The woody notes, soaked in rum and vanilla, form the velvety soft base, on which the floral and fruity play out.
The coconut water looks bright - the amber, on the other hand, looks like mild candlelight.
A diffuse fragrance in the best sense of the word, moving between seduction and lightness.
At the Happy End, a distinctive, non-sticky caramel note will appear, skilfully rounding off Black XS.
Paco has done a good job here again, and I have to say: Chapeau!
It will not run out my XS from anno thenal the rank, it is also a completely different smell.
But it will stand well beside him.
