dash of sea
So upon spraying, I immediately detect the salt and the vanilla notes. Olympea Intense really does have a saltwater toffee vibe to it, an aroma that hangs in the warm summer air. The orange blossom also comes out quite well from the start and indeed throughout the entire life cycle.

It’s a familiar floral and one of the floral notes that I enjoy most in fragrances. Orange blossom fits in perfectly to that salty vanilla mix and feels like it is soaked in the amber note.

The amber, of course, is the other highlight of this composition. It gives this Paco Rabanne perfume, a thick warmth, which envelopes the wearer and acts as the glue to keep everything together.

Olympea Intense is a fairly straightforward and simple fragrance. Vanilla is the main attraction and it is paired with the salt to create something that feels like it has a dash of sea air to it. All of this is coated with a very compelling amber note and an orange blossom to offset it from becoming strictly a vanilla perfume.

This one reminds me of some other fragrances such as BonBon and Black Opium and perhaps a few others (Prada Candy, maybe?).

It has that same vanilla, citrus sort of smell with a candy-like aroma (toffee in this case versus caramel in others). None are exactly the same, but they have a similar profile.

Rabimmel, Rabammel - Rabanne!
I am quite freshly addicted to perfume and so it is obvious that I first have to sniff my way through the mainstream sea of fragrance bit by bit in order to gradually build up a modest wealth of experience that lets me understand the fragrance comments at Parfumo and allows me to contribute my small share to the discourse within the scope of my limited possibilities The first Paco Rabanne in my nose was Lady Million, who didn't make it from paper to my skin. Too dressed up, "sequin minis at the club." Olympea read quite interesting concerning the scent pyramid and my olfactory booty scheme. Sprayed on the paper, inhaled and found quite nice. My spontaneous comment: "At least it won't hurt anyone." The woman in turquoise had to grin a little. Three weeks later, on my way home after work, I stopped at our cow-village drugstore with a centaur and had an acute need for rewards. The gentleman in white, who unlocked the perfume counter for me, seemed a bit insecure at first, but immediately went to work and patiently sprayed one fragrance after the other on the card. After I must have looked very frightened to disgusted after testing Angel, he reached under the counter and held a small tin of coffee beans under my nose. Chapeau! It wanted to convince me so quite no smell and so I landed again with Mr. Rabanne Greek echoes. In the face of Angel, the scent experience could only be better. Wait a minute, wait a minute. Olympea Intense. This is a little different from Olmpea, isn't it? It's for the tester and the nose. Hiya. This friendly arbitrariness, which had kept me at Olympea from further occupation with this fragrance, was completely alien to Olymppea Intense. The fragrance is voluminous, harmonious, sweet and very warm and soft. I clearly smell the white pepper in the top note, which gives Olympea Intense a certain angular spiciness. Then comes the salty element of vanilla, which blends with the other components to form a wonderfully mild salty caramel candy, making the fragrance for me a dream gourmand par excellence. Intense yet delicate. Sweet, but by no means sticky. I perceive the flowery notes less strongly (to hardly). Ambergris and sandalwood are finely tuned and ensure a harmonious finish, which will continue to be worn by this heavenly delicious caramel candy. It is of course not an oller Werthers, but a hand-rolled sweet from a small Breton sweet manufacturer.
The Sillage is already not from bad parents, so restraint is in demand with the dosage. My shelf life is about six hours.
And so it happened that Paco and I made our peace after all

A Frenchwoman on a summer holiday
My first comment here, I'm excited! I have an unusual story in common with Olympéa Intense:
At the beginning of 2019, in cold January, I really wanted to treat myself to an all-rounder fragrance that would accompany me all year round. I had requirements: It should fit to various occasions and temperatures. It must have a good shelf life. It must not contain any disturbing note. And above all: Despite its all-rounder status, it must be a bit "different" and have a certain something.
So I stood at the shelf in the orange M, tested my way through, but nothing convinced me "at first sight", and I actually wanted to go.
Suddenly she walked past me. My jaw just fell to the floor. Wow... I've never seen a more elegant young woman! Black Beret cap, underneath a blond mane. Red lipstick. Grey-blue eyes, grey-blue trench coat. Black bootees. With her French-influenced style and her presence, she embodied something that I also wanted a piece of! I was so fascinated. Where did she come from, where is she going? It was one of those moments in life that you will always remember.
She went straight to the Paco Rabannes, unerringly attacked the Olympéa Intense and fogged herself in. A gentle cloud of bitter freshness, fruitiness and sweetness reached me. Mmmh...! I want to, I want to! After she left, I immediately grabbed the round bottle. The fragrance was still hanging in the air: it was vanilla, definitely, but a fresh brew vanilla. Orange fruitiness. Something harsh, maybe wood? I didn't know. I didn't know. I only knew "at first glance" that I had found my all-rounder with that certain something. I couldn't thank the elegant lady from Paris enough for her performance in spirit. I really wore the scent every day and got compliments.
Meanwhile I think that Olympéa Intense (low dose!) is more effective in summer, and especially on vacation. He has something refreshingly maritime about the salt. The sweetness of vanilla and orange blossom gets something tropical at warm temperatures. I always imagine a romantic evening stroll on the beach in addition to the scent. But I met him in the cold "Paris"... :)

Some call it an impostor, others call it therapy
" ... so I'm like: interesting. But drugstore and this One Million guy, not my level. After all, I'm a niche connoisseur.
Although I also think One Million is completely great, but I ask them: if my expectations of fragrances are falling, I'm becoming a prole of mediocrity. Or is Pacco Rabanne a misunderstood genius who ...

While I lay on the couch and talked to the ceiling, the psychologist drew hangman figures on his notepad.

"And what do you say, did you even listen to me?"

"Yes, I did. Your problem is that you have purchased what I can confirm is a very fragrant and outstanding perfume with a very good shelf life and a more than acceptable price They don't care that it's a women's fragrance because it suits them perfectly.

I sat up in amazement. He had zero grasp of the problem. Even worse, he made it sound more like the opposite of a problem.

"Drugstore? Rabanne? One Million and stuff?
That's like someone who normally drinks Chateau Petrus suddenly getting excited about Trollinger Lemberger.

Dr. Vögelchen groaned and threw his notepad on the table.

"Mr. Nutmeg, I repeat your words:
It starts with a soft aromatic note that reminds you of plasticine and comfort. And makes you happy. Followed by a subtle hint of white flowers without any typical sharpness. The whole thing then merges into sea and beach, salty sea air, you called it. You called it perfect.
If your Trollinger was from Clive Christian and the price was over five hundred euros, you would be bankrupt but happy. Just try happy without bankruptcy. No normal person can tell the difference anyway.

Basically, I'm just compulsive. You could work on that. I should now wear the fragrance every day for two weeks. And if anyone asks me about it, proudly announce that it's a cheap drugstore fragrance.

Well then. Today my colleague Harald asked me what I smelled so great and I proudly announced it was Blonde Amber.

Yes, I know. But no normal person can actually tell the difference.

Deliberately used
It takes some skill to use the fragrance correctly in the right situations.
The fragrance is a force and the vanilla is extremely concise. The orange and cedar wood complement each other perfectly in the background. Strangely enough, the fragrance ALSO reminds me of warm evenings on the Atlantic Ocean, perhaps just an illusion, as it is definitely not a refreshing Acqua fragrance. Maybe the salt...?!

I don't recommend anyone to use the fragrance in everyday life (then rather the normal Olympea and also only slightly dosed). The fragrance is a going out scent, the woman wants to attract attention, has self-confidence and makes a statement. You should stand behind the fragrance and not be ashamed that really everyone around you, especially in closed rooms, is looking at you. Otherwise the fragrance is not for you.
If you can sell the fragrance well, you can climb Mount Olympus...

8.5 points because the scent is not always fragrant. Sometimes it can be annoying, especially if you have to smell it too often. Not uncommon with such scents. The shelf life is enormous. Applied in the morning it still smells after showering in the evening.

Not as sweet or aquatic as OG Olympea. Heavy orange blossom with salt & pepper. Not as unique but good for evenings/cold weather.

Sweet and warm with a salty touch, perfect in the cold season or by night. Quite good sillage. Luxury bottle, but a little kitsch (to me)

Projection wise, Olympea Intense actually lives up to the name and has a strong sillage. Trust me, you won’t have to spray very much of this

Warm scent. To my nose this has an underlying mustiness, so this scent is not for me.
