Terenzi Vibes
There is a kilometers long sand beach on southern Adriatic coast where I spent my summer vacations as a kid visiting my italian Nona (the other nona was by contrast - Austrian). This scent is exactly how I associate the smell of scorched mediterranean shrubs and soft, emulsified, salty evening air as waves grind rough rocks into sand.
Terenzi parfumes are created here, literary 10 walking minutes from this beach and I totally get it! This unique vibe is unmistakenly endemic, I cant imagine finding it anywhere else. Tiziana says Sicilly, sure, but it may be anywhere along olive-tree belt.
Like with other profumieri who share similar DNA (Pazzaglia, Bianchi, Martinelli), dominantly soapy/powdery notes dance around citruses, salt and myrth in such a sofisticated and refined way making it simply beatiful. It is mellow but not feminine. Akragas does not scream, it does not impose itself, just softly envelopes itself around you in a nonchalant, I-Dont-Give-A-Foque kinda way. Sì, questa è la sensibilità italiana in una bottiglia, assolutamente! Super cool. The scent a Sigma would wear.

The Valley of the Temples or Akragas
Akragas, the valley of temples. Today only ruins, once a flourishing city in Sicily. One can only imagine what it once smelled like. Sea, salt, herbs and limestone. In my opinion, these notes can also be found in Tiziana Terenzi's fragrance. It opens fresh, a little eucalyptic with a light citric note that tends to be sweet and delicate, all wrapped up in a salty, mineral garment. Later on, Akragas develops more and more into a warm, soapy fragrance with great longevity and a very decent silage. All in all, a successful composition that lives up to its name.

Opens with very sharp, green and woody bitterness which slowly transforms into a more marine, slightly mineralic and papyrusy marine accord.

Salaria with a little more... of everything. Green, mineral aquatic with fresh minty undertones. Jumps right off the skin, great release

What does salt smell like? Salt doesn’t have a scent. But sea spray, salty skin, the plants of a Mediterranean island. Wow, perfect mix, I really like it.

Despite the salty association, I get the image of a lake full of flowers here, not the sea. Floral and tender instead of a rough ocean.
