A Breeze Along the Sardinian Cliffs
It opens with an astonishing brightness-a burst of citrus notes that lift one another up. Soon enough, deeper and earthier tones begin to surface alongside the ever-present citruses. Not the scent of soil itself, but the aromas of the land-of Mediterranean scrub warmed by the sun.
It carries me along a path carved into the cliffs of Sardinia’s coast, where a gentle sea breeze cools the skin. Around me, the plants release their aromatic breath: myrtle, wild thyme, broom, juniper… and the unmistakable hint of scattered citrus leaves.
As it settles, grey amber becomes more prominent, yet on my skin it stays far from anything too marine — rounder, softened by saffron and tonka bean, almost tender in its sweetness.
Its longevity is outstanding; sillage is perfectly measured: present, never intrusive. Hours later, it becomes intimate, clinging close to the skin and finally - courtesy of the cedarwood, perhaps - a hint of citrus swims quietly back to the surface.
