Woowee, this one’s a real treat. Basically the attar version of DSH’s Oude Arabique, which is a huge favorite of mine and a similarly deft combination of incense & resin laden oud and sandalwood. Being so similar I can’t help but say basically the same thing in this review as that one, and that is simply that this is a beautiful, spiritual, ancient blend. As traditional “church incense” scents evoke areas of prayer in the time of Christ, this infinitely deep, resinous and incensey oud evokes those in the time Before Christ, even before the classical period, all the way back to ancient Egyptian and Indian rites… Scents like this awaken something in your subconscious, reignite the spark of something you didn’t even know was there… that’s just how intimately such scents have been impressed upon humankind.
Sillage moderate, longevity high. Recommended for incense, oud, resin and ancient wood lovers alike.
