I'm close to the cook...
An intimate souffle? A sexy dessert? An erotic sweet treat? Well, I'd rather not delve into translations, as I've already made some embarrassing mistakes with various French perfume names. It wouldn't really fit anyway, as this Paul Emilien is neither dessert-sweet nor very intimate. Rather, it's a lightly spicy floral bomb that is fine, classic, gentle, and powdery without ever being annoying. However, it doesn't deliver anything truly new. On the contrary - it couldn't be safer.
"Souffle Intime" surprisingly comes across as simplistic and plain, despite the eternally long fragrance pyramid that confuses more than it helps. Occasionally, there's a fruity flash (especially at the beginning), later vanilla and patchouli lay a veil of base notes over everything. But at its core, and for 90%, the scent is a floral bouquet in all its colors and forms. It somewhat reminds me of a feminine version of "Insense" - but in the women's category, it's only half as spectacular. Flowers are the order of the day there. Therefore, this pleasant but unspectacular Mother's Day gift doesn't entice me out from behind any oven. It's well made, if not excellent. However, if your feet fall asleep in the process, that doesn't help much...
Bottle: actually quite nice... I just never really like the drawings on the bottles.
Sillage: a dense floral bouquet - but it never disperses too much.
Longevity: this bouquet droops after 5-7 hours.
Conclusion: for my floral friends, a test tip - minimally fruity (peach), minimally spicy (pepper + chili), but mostly a fully packed bouquet of feminine flowers like ylang-ylang, rose, iris, or jasmine. Beautiful, but somewhat pale despite the many floral colors & facets.
