Aren't the mandarins ripe yet? I'll take it anyway!
Mandarino di Sicilia inevitably reminded me of "Blu Mediterraneo - Arancia die Capri". A juicy, fresh summer fragrance that presents its fruit full-bodied and is perfect for warm days. That was it then also already with the similarities. At least with the positive...
The fragrance begins with a wonderful green and immature mandarin, which however already contains a lot of citric juice in its peel. Crisp, juicy and very fresh. This note lasts for quite a while and becomes more mature and softer over time - less green. After some time a slightly flowery note is added and towards the end some wood.
The problem is - at least on my skin - the durability. The silage is fine, but with the shelf life, the fragrance has some difficulties after my tests. The maximum duration on my skin was about 4 to 5 hours. Compared to the Arancia the Capri it's a little more, but still not so that I'm completely satisfied.
This will probably also be due to the properties of fresh fragrances and a hoped durability, which such a fragrance cannot offer. Probably a form of exaggerated expectation. Because on the search for the perfect summer fragrance you have to decide in advance in which direction you want to go and what you want. Rather something spicy, something flowery or rather citric. Flowery is rather not so my smell direction which pleases me, since often green sheets are also from the part. Something spicy is too exhausting for me even for the summer, at least if it is warmer than 25 degrees. So I find the "Aoud Lagoon" of Montale very interesting and also good. However, the seasoning simply gets too much for me on warmer days. For me there is only the citric direction, which also inspires me very much. You will probably have to live with a somewhat lower shelf life, as these often do not have the stamina. The exception here is probably Edition Blanche.
Conclusion is, I have too high expectations for citric fragrances, but find the fragrance mega horny and great for warm weather, which is why this is one of the TOP fragrances for summer.
