Sweet and dry - Good choice for fall and winter
I do not get much cinnamon from this, but something akin to a fresh tobacco accord. Of course, cinnamon is listed as a note and tobacco is not; so, take my words with a grain of salt.
As far as I can tell, people who like CK One Shock for Men might find this a good choice for fall and winter. It might be a little too sweet and dry for summer. I do not suggest that CK Shock and PE m smell alike, (or even close), but at least for me, they fill similar spots in the rotation. PE m is sweeter, and less tobacco-ey than Shock, and Shock seems to project and last somewhat better than PE m. At any rate, a pretty good choice at current prices (as of December 2015) for people who do not have anything against any of the listed notes.

Yes, smells like...............but better in it's own way
Yes, very much like Allure Homme by the great house of Chanel.

Though I do prefer this much more so, why?
First off.....pricepoint, so much cheaper!

Second-darker, in my opinion, Allure has white flower notes like Jasmine, Gardenia and such along with peach making it not only softer but powdery.

Third: This is more masculine, Allure's white flower, peach and coconut notes give it a feminine leaning.

Fourth; long lasting and great projection.
As I write this it is the middle of winter here in the northern hemisphere and such a great time of year for Perry Ellis' M.

Werthers Echte have grown up
After last week’s very positive experience with the Acqua Di Gio lookalike 360 Red, today it was time for another Perry Ellis fragrance. And again, the scent reminds me of a big player in the business, albeit a bit less obviously. But it’s another tip for the relatively unknown brand.

Perry Ellis - M resembles Chanel's classic Allure Homme, let’s say about 70%. It’s a similar fitting comparison as with Individuel & Original Santal - where a similar level of sweetness is also achieved. With its young, sexy, but not overly masculine blend of vanilla, caramel, fresher citrus notes, light synthetic elements & creamy tonka, it is a perfect all-rounder. Yes, it is very sweet, but I never find it intrusive. It might even be more versatile than its overall more mature counterpart, especially for those under 20 who want to appear playful & confident without having to raid the communion fund. In its worst phases, the scent reminds me of Axe Nutella Limited Edition, but in its best moments, it smells high-quality delicious & five times as expensive as it actually is. Regardless, it remains a price tip & a perfect entry-level fragrance. So don’t be put off by the price & name.

Bottle: not ugly, but chic is something else.
Sillage: a medium-strength companion
Longevity: I was a bit disappointed - 5-6 hours is behind all the benchmarks.

Conclusion: a successful alternative to Allure Homme, but not quite as perfected & unfortunately not as affordable as it used to be!

Perry Ellis m(akes) you a candy - The Caramel Charmer
I became aware of this fragrance mainly through YouTube videos, but the already very good comments on Parfumo also made me extremely curious. So, I had to make another blind purchase, which (thankfully) paid off again.

The opening features a mild anise scent that lasts about half an hour on me and feels refreshingly uplifting. Presumably, the mandarin leaf and bergamot add a fresh-green touch to the anise scent. Throughout the rest of the fragrance, vanilla is particularly dominant, with slight woody undertones. From the heart note, I can mainly smell cinnamon, which makes the scent a bit sharper and more pronounced. The combination of these notes with the rather sweet vanilla makes me think of a "masculine" caramel candy that becomes a bit more bitter on the way to the base note after a few hours.

Vetiver becomes increasingly noticeable towards the end of its longevity. Overall, the scent also evokes some memories of cigarette tobacco or the perfumed cigarettes of my aunt, which I could always smell whenever she simply opened the pack next to me. As I mentioned in my statement, I would describe the fragrance with the image of a caramel candy rolled in that light cigarette tobacco or its scent compounds. It sounds really unpleasant, but it captures the blend of modern, youthful sweetness and a slightly bitter, masculine base note quite well.

Longevity: very good; lasts at least 8 hours

Sillage: I find it just okay; however, it is present for quite a long time

Bottle: quite boring; cheap cap; catastrophic sprayer (sometimes barely dispenses anything!)

~Conclusion~

Perry Ellis m is a sweet fragrance that becomes a bit more bitter over its longevity, making it seem more mature than some other sweet perfumes from the mainstream. It gives off a confident vibe without coming across as too serious. However, due to the restrained sillage, the scent is not well perceived. Spraying too much is almost impossible, especially since the terrible sprayer does not do you any favors (the cheapest drugstore products have better sprayers than this perfume!). Overall, I find the scent very "safe" for work and evening outings, but also a bit lacking in surprises and at times (especially in the heart note) quite arbitrary, which is why a solid 8 (stars/points/whatever) is appropriate here.

So delicious.
It's been a while since I owned Allure Homme. And I must admit, back then it didn't really blow me away.
But this "M" here is absolutely amazing. The resemblance to Allure is definitely undeniable. But to me, it even smells better. Softer, more pleasant, more delicious, etc.....
Not to mention the ridiculous price you pay for it. Totally fantastic.
I was initially very hesitant about whether I should treat myself to this blind buy. Thank God I did. It will stay in the collection and will be repurchased when needed.

Cinnamon, vanilla, tonka bean and musk are the outstanding notes. Really musky. Apply 2 hours before sexy time. Great success.

Award for the ugliest bottle ever, but the scent is all the better: Allure Homme, the great role model, but spicier and more vanilla.

Pleasant everyday scent with a hint of fine toffee. Wearable, unobtrusive, and not too loud. Could last a bit longer.

Buying this fall. The better Allure. Rounder, softer, more alluring with lots of cinnamon & vanilla. A must-have for the price!
