Gurkal
Gurkal is a diminutive term for a cucumber, used in many parts of Salzburg.
The title gets straight to the point regarding the scent.
Although I doubt it can truly be called a perfume, it rather deserves the term "cucumber water." -
Cucumber, sliced with the skin, placed in lukewarm water, with a bit of mint, a splash of lemon, and some pepper - refreshing is something else, especially since the water is not ice-cold. This is Gurkal, and this is how Gurkal remains. But not for long. The longevity and sillage are so poor that I find myself internally searching for what I am even wearing.
No development, no depth. Although one doesn’t necessarily need or expect that from "fresh" perfumes. It should smell as fresh, fine, and clean as possible. But no, Eau Simple de Concombre smells like old cucumber water, and one is glad not to have to drink it anymore.
By far one of the worst perfumes I have tested in the past and the absolute nemesis of the Phaedon house.
I am a confessed Phaedon lover and often enjoy scents that are soft and subtle, as some fragrances from this house are. But with such meaningless waters that smell like strange cucumbers, I am perfectly fine to pass.
The only thing I like is the bottle and the straightforward, linear design, as one is accustomed to from Phaedon.
Everything else is unfortunately destined for the bin.
