freshly shaven
In short, "Icewater" smells like a freshly shaven man who has used a rather nice and very conventional aftershave. I can't really imagine "Icewater by Pino Silvestre" on a young man. I like the scent, I would also like it on a young man, but I would only gift it to an older one. I personally would never wear "Icewater by Pino Silvestre." It really smells too much like aftershave and shaving soap to me.
"Icewater by Pino Silvestre" starts with a very fresh green and quite sour citrus opening that immediately transitions into a bitter herbaceousness. This is followed directly by a woody accord along with a soapiness that reminds me for a while of shaving soap. However, this soapiness is outlined by a distinctly aquatic note that continues to accompany the fragrance. A little later, "Icewater by Pino Silvestre" becomes bitter and harsher with a hint of oakmoss. But there also seem to be herbs, with a very subtle floral note lying underneath. A balanced creaminess of sandalwood rounds off "Icewater by Pino Silvestre." All in all, and considering its release date, this scent can be classified as a men's chypre. The longevity is very good, the sillage, presumably it's an EdT or even EdC, is quite strong at first but weakens significantly during the rapid progression. A nice unobtrusive men's fragrance that I believe I used to smell frequently on men two decades ago.
