The "Pino" on the deeper "wooden path"...
...throughout the whole long day. First he enjoys the cool morning freshness as he walks along slightly misty country lanes. Wild thyme and lavender grow at the edges. Towards mid-morning, he can then catch a whiff of very spicy air, which the rising sun fills with saffron and pepper scents. It gets warm at midday. Sometimes the sun burns very hot, and the saffron picks up speed accordingly. Until it gets close to the forest in the afternoon. Through sparse groves that smell of conifer and birch resin, into the deep, ever-darkening forest. Sometimes it is evening and he likes to rest on a random tree trunk, the aromas of which tickle his nose and he can enjoy them comfortably. But before it starts to get dark, "good old Pino" should leave the forest again. Although he knows and loves the "Deep Wood" well. At dusk, he could still stumble over roots and fallen tree branches.
So back to the sparse grove, where it smells of birch tar. And then to the field path, where the thyme does its best once again, not without the "thought of impressing" the lavender, the woody spices and the "hot pepper saffron".
Conclusion: A really interesting, deep and well-made "Pino" that knows how to impress ;-))

No needlewood, but leather
This fragrance has no trace of any conifers and surprises with a properly heavy and sweet presentation.

It opens with nutmeg, accompanied by a somewhat pungent citrus, which fades after a few moments. And from this moment onwards, I mainly perceive leather, which remains present in varying accompaniment until the end. The lavender wants to be there, makes a brief appearance, but is drowned out by strong saffron and leather and quickly fades again. Therefore, this fragrance never turns green for me. The pepper is also only faintly perceptible in the heart note. The heart note is what bothers me the most about this fragrance: I personally find the saffron/leather combination in the heart note too overwhelming.
In the base, the leather is still the dominant note for me, accompanied by sweet sandalwood.

The cone-shaped bottle has something iconic about it, but the cheap plastic lid falls off at the slightest touch. The atomizer, on the other hand, is good.
The projection is well perceptible at arm's length, the sillage is also well perceptible in the top and heart notes but not overwhelming.

All in all, for me it is a heavy, sweet fragrance that I would most likely wear on a winter evening or on cold days. The fragrance is definitely unisex for me.

At the price of a mere 10, it's even worth a blind buy if you're looking for a heavy fragrance for cold days and like leather.

Unfortunately, the heart note doesn't suit me at all, which is why the fragrance will move on.

Haven of peace
The only thing the red Pino has in common with conifers, forests and cones is the shape of the bottle.
In terms of character, it is a calm, refined contemporary that I like to chill out with.

The top note is definitely spicy, but quickly fades. I can clearly recognize nutmeg and also the citrusy part, thyme holds back.
Lavender quickly joins in and blends with saffron and the base notes, none of which I can explicitly smell, to create a dry paper scent on my skin, which is joined by a delicate barbershop vibe with varying intensity, not harsh but slightly sweet.

I think of my grandpa's shaving soap, lathered up with a real hair brush, and how he used to tell stories "from the old days" after the procedure, smelling fragrant and wrapped up in his gray cardigan, just like I'm telling you this story now.
This is how Amber Woods meanders along and creates a quiet sense of well-being without ever making me think of amber or woods.

I really like it despite its weak sillage and longevity.
