underrated clean blackcurrant
I'm surprised this gets so many negative reviews. Perhaps it just likes me. I get a pleasant coolness throughout, enhanced by a surprisingly true blackcurrant note. I've tried many scents on the basis of their blackcurrant notes and have been disappointed when the blackcurrant is either weak, hints at urine, or smells like I'm wearing blackcurrant pastilles. This goes in an entirely different direction than the original 4711 but, to my neroli-hating nose, it's a better one.

Sometimes....
It smells clean, fresh, and somehow odorless... yes. But sometimes that is very useful. I filled it in a plastic sprayer (weight) and took it with me on a long journey through New Zealand. I saved the deodorant, showered with odorless soap... and always felt clean, fresh, and ... This way, I could smell the rainforest undisturbed, the Tasman Sea, the apple orchards, and much more. During the painfully long flight, I passed the time in the transit area of Dubai Airport in the countless perfume shops. Nouveau Cologne by 4711 didn’t disturb me during my scent excursions. I worked in a clinic while studying. The old 4711 was a constant scent companion in the patients' rooms... or even worse: Tosca.
The new one is definitely more bearable for fellow patients and nursing staff.

Soap Soap Soap...
That pretty much says it all...

A friend of mine (from Cologne and a big 4711 fan) recently slipped me a mini of the original Eau de Cologne, which surprisingly I quite like. As a devoted wearer of Farina Eau de Cologne, I have boycotted 4711 until now, but this neroli-lavender combo in the Eau de Cologne is rather pleasant. Now I was curious about the modernized version of the classic... What, no lavender in there? Oh man...

I agree with my predecessors. The thought of the old Eau de Cologne has been successfully eliminated here, but I wouldn’t say that the scent feels "more modern".

Only the opening is typically Cologne. I can smell yuzu, but I think there’s something else citrusy in there as well. Then lychee and blackcurrant join in, which make the whole thing quite scratchy. And now I also perceive that soapy scent that remains dominant for the rest of the (logically relatively short) scent journey. My sprayed arm actually smells as if I just washed it with some regular soap. Nothing expensive, but also nothing that smells overly chemical and penetrating. This typical soap scent, enriched with something floral and an obligatory freshness. The sillage is also comparable to how it smells after washing your hands. Up close, the scent is quite noticeable.

It doesn’t smell wrong... Not at all, but as a perfume, I find it rather uninteresting. Even as a refreshment in between. Soap smells clean but not refreshing. So when should I wear Nouveau Cologne? When I didn’t feel like washing?

After half an hour, I then smell a surprisingly pleasant base. White musk is a must for a clean scent, but the tonka bean and a hint of sandalwood let the fragrance finish wonderfully warm and creamy. The soapy scent finally pulls back a bit.

Ultimately, it’s not a candidate for purchase for me. The opening is something you find in every Cologne, and I don’t need to smell like hand soap for half an hour just for the few minutes that the base lasts. It just doesn’t make much sense to me. You can just wash your hands like that and skip the perfume.

The attempt to present Eau de Cologne in a modernized form to a younger target audience has, in my opinion, failed. I think most young people will find Nouveau Cologne simply too unspectacular.

beautiful summer scent
I was quickly impressed and enjoyed wearing it in the heat.
It is really pleasantly fresh and delicious, remains noticeable without being intrusive, and fortunately comes without the typical old-lady neroli note and also without the charm of refreshing wipes.
I was also puzzled and amused by the stink tree - if I understood correctly, it is a strongly scented "butterfly tree".
I took the body spray, find it sufficiently lasting for me, and just pleasant for summer, as I said, rather unobtrusive, comparable to scented body milk or aromatic body oil. The EDT lasts a bit longer.

Eau de Handbag
starts off very fresh and citrusy for me and then becomes a bit softer, the freshness remains.
something light for in between on hot days.
perfect for the handbag to spritz on briefly in the summer.
it has a spot in my little bag until the end of summer.

I don’t mind that 4711 is trying to break away a bit from the old grandma - only good against the blues - refreshing cloth image.
We all know,
that this is not a high-quality water at a price of 10.45 for 50 ml :)

Cheekily, it reminds me of my dearly beloved Kenzo "Sicilia", but it doesn't quite measure up.

This one is the 2.0 cologne , more modern and fruitier than citrusy. The acchord is more complex but the sillage too weak.Anyway good

Starting with floral, fruity and marine notes, it’s a mess. Sharp synthetic marine then takes over. Not a good one, sad to say.

An exciting, albeit somewhat pale reinterpretation of the classic, which I don't see on the line of Cologne waters. Let's give it a try!

Doesn't hurt anyone. So I'd rather have this on a colleague than LVEB or whatever else is trendy.

I find it a bit softer & rounder (a bit less Cologne-like) than the original scent. A quick refreshment for in between.

Refreshing with yuzu. Lightly tart fruitiness. Minimal floral. Base of musk, tonka, sandalwood. Subtle charm. 30° C + P. L. top.

No comparison to the original 4711. Smells new and fresh, a bit woody, a bit citrusy, a bit floral. But reapplying is a must.

The perfect refreshment for body and mind! Mugler Cologne gives a new boost. A must-have at 30°C. Pleasant, fresh, and not overpowering.

Fresh all-rounder cologne with not too long-lasting longevity and sillage! :P ;):)

Smells honestly-fresh, green-floral, a bit different from the original, but I still prefer the classic original.
