Fumyrrhissimo!
A vintage scent from Napoleon's times? It isn't, but it smells like it! With many traditional ingredients, their harmonious blend is simply beautiful. However, that doesn't mean that this "Éléonore" lacks edges or corners. It is precisely the boldness of the smoky scents that makes it so special. There's myrrh, which has a very distinctive resinous scent, while fruits - peach and lemon - add a softer touch. The absence of any flowers signifies great independence - I don't miss them here at all.
Instead, a not overly sweet, dark vanilla comes into play, forming an oscillating center with hot saffron - I would even call it "olfactory heart fluttering".
Then, layer by layer, more woody, earthy, balsamic scents unfold beneath - the frankincense does not hold back, patchouli and sandalwood are almost on par, with a hint of amber in the background. Yet it is the myrrh and the frankincense that truly make it "resinous" throughout.
A wonderfully mystical, mysterious scent for the colder seasons!
