Bedtime story

Got this one recently.
I really love this scent... It has some weird bubblegum smell mixed with flowers. It has to be tuberose that I'm getting the most. I love it so much. By the bottle design it gives a hint to be some JPG dupe, and I saw it here that it's supposed to be a Classique. Because I love this fragrance that much, I have decided to find the original JPG..... So, I have found the original JPG and was soooooooo disappointed to find out that it smells nothing like this perfume. It was exactly the same bottle that is listed here, and I also tried one marked as perfume in the bottle with red transparent corset.... None of them smelled like this one.... And the worst thing was that they both lasted on me less than this cheap perfume.... Maybe I'm noseblind to JPG perfume, I don't know what is happening between us... I thought, maybe it was something accidental, but two days later I have tested them again and the same thing happened.
This perfume lasted on me for over 6 hrs without any problems.... I could even smell it after washing my hands few times throughout the day. Great find, great cheappie!

No Alternative to the Original

One day, I had a visit from a friend, and she smelled absolutely amazing. I asked her which fragrance she was wearing, and she told me it was "Classique" by Jean-Paul Gaultier. I quickly did some research and found out that the fragrance is incredibly expensive (at least compared to the rest of my collection, that is) ;-) Which isn't too tragic in itself, because you do have birthdays and can treat yourself to something nice.

I then looked for dupes. There are many lists online that deal with dupes, and based on the recommendation of another friend, I decided to buy Kindlooks.

There are two sizes of the fragrance: the 15ml variant and the 100ml variant. However, the price online keeps increasing. So it's best to check in-store if you're interested.

I quite like the bottle; it has many details and feels good in the hand. Both the large and the small one. I'm satisfied with the spray performance, as it disperses a nice delicate mist that is easy to apply. Even after prolonged use, it doesn't give up and continues to spray reliably.

But now, let's talk about the fragrance itself: Kindlooks was initially an acceptable alternative to JPG for me. I was more enthusiastic about this scent at first, but after having contact with the original again yesterday, I don't find Kindlooks as impressive anymore. Classique (the EdT) developed better on my skin yesterday than the first time and smelled nicer. Kindlooks simply can't compete with it, no matter how hard you try.

The longevity is not good. You have to spray it on quite often if you want to perceive it for longer.

Kindlooks smells weaker than Classique. My first impression was that it doesn't smell too bad and that it's wearable. However, it does come off as very artificial and has a cheap note. Not inexpensive, but cheap. Poorly copied. Mixed in a bucket and bottled up ^_^
It smells a bit like vanilla milk and orange blossom and has a sweet note, with some fruity elements mixed in. It develops a slightly powdery and soft character.

It's not too overpowering. The advice not to apply too much has already been mentioned. But that's the case with the original as well.

It suits better when it's a bit cooler or when it's raining. On warm days, I find this type of perfume too sweet.

The skin compatibility is very good for me, and I don't get headaches from the fragrance.

Better than its reputation

Now to the fragrances I considered in the Netherlands but then bought here in Germany. As already mentioned with Beach Party, the company Real Time / Coscentra has a significantly higher reputation with our western neighbors than here, where it is only available in discount stores. What doesn't cost much can't be worth much, and one approaches the fragrances with negative attitudes. They are belittled as much as possible and prejudices are thrown around like candy at carnival. You wouldn't believe it, but even high-quality fragrances are bottled in China. Right on the same level as those from Real Time or any other brand. I buy fragrances based on my nose and not the price. I have no qualms about preferring an inexpensive fragrance from an expensive brand.

But now on to Kindlooks. One should be clear that the fragrances from Real Time have a similarity to their larger relatives, but are by no means identical scents. Here, the fragrance started off fresh and citrusy for me. Not like toilet cleaner but with a hint of hairspray, which is often the case with these fragrances. However, that quickly faded. After that, it was a full program of floral scents: tuberose, jasmine, and ylang-ylang. All three fragrances fought for dominance, and ylang-ylang won. I didn't smell ginger. With the citrusy start, not bad. After a while, the base of amber, cedar, and a touch of vanilla emerged. Cinnamon was not present for me. Ylang-ylang still pushed through and gave the fragrance a floral warmth. One must like the scent of ylang-ylang, as it defines this extraordinary fragrance for the winter half of the year. It also demands confidence from its wearer, as she will stand out with this scent. Yes, I have it and I will wear it. Probably, however, I won't repurchase it.

The longevity is perfectly fine at 4 hours, and at the price of 2.99 euros in Germany and 5.99 (on sale, otherwise more) euros in Venlo for 100 ml, one can't complain.

The bottle is bulky and unwieldy. Not my thing, as the design is more suitable as a close-combat weapon than for carrying the bottle in a handbag. You definitely need to decant it.

Similarity to Classique by Gaultier exists, but nothing more. I see Kindlooks as a distinct fragrance.

Good Twin

I was able to buy the twin for just under €3 at Kik. Without testing, I took it home, as the bottle alone had already appealed to me as a decoration. My expectations for the scent were rather low given the price. But I was wrong. It comes very close to the original. Powdery, sweet, a little floral. Simply a scent to feel good. The sillage is rather weak, but for the price, you can definitely spray a bit more. The longevity is also really great at just over 4 hours.

The Pink Body

~ Inspiration ~
I happened to walk past it in KIK and it reminded me of "Classique" by Gaultier just by its shape. I sprayed it on the shelf first (it's too risky for me to try such cheap fragrances on skin) and took a sniff. It definitely has similarities to the original.

~ Flacon ~
Like its predecessor, this one also represents a female torso in bright pink. To me, it looks very cheap, but that's to be expected at this price. As so often, the color was the decisive factor for me, and for €2 you can't go wrong much.

~ Scent ~
It starts with a strong alcohol note. This fades after a few seconds and a strong and sweet, but also very synthetic scent emerges. I can't identify individual components. After about 1 hour, it becomes a bit more pleasant and powdery. To me, it mainly smells like highly concentrated or spilled sunscreen.

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts about 2 hours, then it's almost gone (on clothes and hair maybe a bit longer). For this price, you can also indulge in the large bottle and spray it on accordingly. However, one should be very sparing with it, as the scent is very penetrating and synthetic, and it makes me a bit dizzy.

~ Occasion ~
Due to the sunscreen note, I find that it fits during the day in spring and summer. For the evening, it's far too weak!

~ Conclusion ~
Unfortunately, the scent is too strong and synthetic for me, and after a while, it makes my throat scratchy :/
Normally, I like fragrances with sweet orange blossom and vanilla, but with this one, the notes are too citrusy and thus unfortunately also somewhat too harsh...

PS: I will stick with the original, as it is much more pleasant to wear!
