Summer Round

I have described all sorts of "possible" and "impossible" scents across various price ranges and concepts. Now, I am once again dedicating myself to a rather unknown but beautiful "spring and summer specimen." It starts off fine floral-fruity, ushering in a cheerful summer day. I can almost feel the dew-covered green of early morning, through which I would love to walk barefoot.
Slowly, as we approach the sunny, pleasantly warm morning, we are greeted by a floral dance, with "dancers" found between late spring and early summer. The last white, fragrant specimens of lily of the valley are complemented by the first lushly blooming rose and jasmine bushes. This is done without being TOO sweet! However, there is a slightly powdery quality that could stem from the combination of ylang-ylang and iris.
I am also satisfied with the longevity of a well-defined 6 hours and the "sillage," which is noticeable but not "overwhelming." When the floral bouquet then gains beautiful woody accents and adds a bit more depth, I like the scent even more!
The only "drawback" that prevents me from giving more than 7.5 "scent points" on the scale is the slight excess of jasmine, which comes across as a bit dominant...

Good doesn't have to be expensive

In our neighboring country, the Netherlands, the company Real Time is quite well-regarded and is priced similarly to good drugstore fragrances here. However, one must not be put off by the rather pompous and sometimes kitschy bottles. It's all about the content. Unfortunately, we can only find the brand in stores like Woolworth and Co., where some customers shamefully look the other way. Who buys something like that? It's too cheap.

Since I have relatives living near the Dutch border, I often receive fragrances from across the border that are either not available here or are rare. Our neighbors stock up on their signature scents in Germany, as they are significantly cheaper here.

From across the border came Pearly Passion to me. The beginning is fresh and floral with a hint of fruit in it. I like that. It continued with flowers, where lily of the valley and rose dominated. Everything is quite harmonious. A successful finish comes through sandalwood and cedarwood.

There is an undeniable similarity to Noa Noa, but it is softer and less piercing, overall creamier. Well, the longevity isn't great, but for the low price, one can't complain. Especially since well-known branded fragrances don't last the 2 hours that this scent does and are four times as expensive.

With Noa Noa, I was put off by the very piercing scent notes that are not present here. So, a successful alternative to that.
