Incubus = Patchouli ?

This name almost compels every man to test this fragrance. Because who wouldn't want to possess the deadly seductive aura of an Incubus!?

But does the scent from Teufelsküche live up to this high expectation?

The opening is typical for a Teufelsküche Patchouli. It smells like herbal schnapps. Not quite as strong as "Morass" or "Shadow," but the vibe is there.
It also leaves no mark on the skin, unlike "Morass." A plus point.

After an hour, the herbal schnapps is gone, and I smell ...... Patchouli! Slightly "urinous" undertone. Too strong then. But where is the myrrh?

Even after the second hour ...... Patchouli! No myrrh!

I like Patchouli, but I imagine the vibe of an Incubus to be somehow more exciting.

The Path of Light

Incubus evokes a very beautiful and breathtaking memory in me.

Langenstein, a district of Halberstadt, has a very beautiful forest path to the Altenburg.

Andreas has always been passionate about nature; as soon as the first flower buds of all the flowers were visible, you could be sure that he was out with his camera to photograph them.

For hours, he would be out with his dog Frida, sometimes even the whole day.

I can very much relate to his enthusiasm, as nature is also something very special and unique for me.

One day, when I was visiting him, he took me on one of his "hiking tours," as he liked to call them.

We left the residential area and came to a very steep old stone staircase that we had to climb.

It was mid-May, not too warm and not too cold, and there was a pleasant breeze to feel.

The wind blew a bit of cold air towards me, something slightly cellar-like that came from the many stones, but there was also a small bitter spicy note (myrrh) to be sniffed.

As we left the stone staircase behind us, we suddenly found ourselves surrounded by a forest of firs, oaks, and beeches, with an even steeper forest path ahead of us.

At the edges of the path, there were also huge boulders to see, and pine cones lined the path that we occasionally stepped on, and this situation I found myself in gave me a very pleasant, cozy feeling.

After about 15 minutes of walking, it became a bit steeper again, with even larger rocks that we had to hold onto to climb up the path.

And suddenly we stood at the highest point of the Altenburg.

A feeling of connection, freedom, and true happiness spread so strongly within me that even my knees became a little weak, and a few tears simply ran down my cheeks.

We had a wonderful breathtaking view that is simply indescribable.

A crystal-clear sky allowed us to see all of Halberstadt.

How small the city looked from this height :-)

On this observation platform, there was also an old decayed bench where we sat down to simply indulge in the warm sun, the gentle breeze, and the wonderful view.

The day before, it had rained, and the ground under the bench was still a bit damp, exuding a pleasant sweet - earthy note (patchouli).

This is Incubus for me.

The scent can be detected on my skin for 9 hours.

The sillage is designed from the start so that you are clearly perceived at half an arm's length, and this is maintained until the fourth hour, before it gradually diminishes in very subtle steps until the scent finally fades completely.
