Herb Sun Rays
The first impression upon spraying: sun rays, 2 seconds later, hm, it smells like sharp aftershave *oh no* and right after that: honey *delicious*. Somehow, all the initial associations remain present throughout.
Smelled from a distance, I perceive the scent differently than up close. When I press my nose close to the perfumed spot, I smell wonderful honey that is not gourmand, not sticky, completely different from, for example, Scandal, which makes me feel ill and I have no honey associations with it. I smell a high-quality and natural bee honey sweetness, slightly waxy, enveloped in a caramel veil, subtly balsamic, definitely oriental and reminiscent of a spa area. Conclusion: sweet, honey, fine!!!!
From a few centimeters away, I can mainly identify something herbal. I think this could be the patchouli, the element that initially reminded me of the keyword "aftershave." I don't like this part of the spa factor as I don't want to smell like that. This element of the scent doesn't smell fine to me; instead, I associate it with something alternative or, better said, it reminds me of essential oils, massage oils, herbal baths, witch's kitchen... it smells slightly sour. When my little child has diarrhea, it smells similar. Conclusion: yuck.
When I perceive the scent from a distance, I smell rather a total texture instead of individual notes wafting towards me. And this is already very good! Everything is rounded, pleasantly spicy, slightly sweet, oriental, still unique and ...ugh... aftershave-like. That's really a shame! I would have liked the scent a lot, especially because of its high quality and the naturally smelling ingredients, if it weren't for this aftershave element. It makes the scent interesting, but in this regard, there is too much herbal spice for my taste. It is not a soft, feminine scent, although other reviews suggest otherwise. Perceptions are just different.
On the internet, you can find opinions expressing that the scent is similar to Dolce Vita by Dior or Casmir by Chopard, which I consider completely absurd. I smell no similarities between the mentioned fragrances.
Since the scent overall smells between herbal cocktail and subtle, noble beauty spa oriental, I am not sure if it is suitable for professional life. It is quite special. Between sweet and sour, between delicious honey and healing herb mixture. One smells sweet-balsamic-herb. I don't know. I love one part, and I find the other repulsive.
After a few days of wearing it:
Wow, it's really good!!!! The drydown is amazing!!!
