A Modern Woody Spicy Scent

It's a great fragrance, Fresh, Crisp and Clean. One of the best Salvatore Ferragamo men's perfumes. It opens up with like fresh citrusy , slightly spicy and floral notes in the background then dry down is green musky. It smells similar to the breeze of Amalfi Coast in the morning. This is suitable for the spring and summer. The art of bottle design is very wonderful. I really enjoy it and I like Subtil Pour Homme EDT for Men by Salvatore Ferragamo. Longevity is average.

How did THIS squeak passed quality control?

SUBTIL POUR HOMME... subtle. Almost like the name was an inside joke during the production of this EMBARRASSING cash-grab of a fragrance. I have NEVER crossed paths with a cologne this lackluster in it's performance. NEVER.

The scent itself is a solid one. A nice, fresh, gingery medley with a hit of sweet citrus. A flowery undercurrent is noticeable and indeed welcome... but that's it!

Once worn, you will be shocked to discover that in a half hours (yes. 30 minutes. Not a gross-exaggeration), the scent has all but vanished. Totally undetectable, my guess would be even to the dogs! No sillage. No faint whiff. Not even a scent on the skin. Nose to wrist; THERE IS NOTHING THERE.

What a total shame, because the smell itself is very pleasant. This could have made for a solid freshie indeed.

As is, SUBTIL PUOR HOMME is the most useless fragrance I have ever tried on personally. It wouldn't really be worth reviewing if not for the fact that there are still bottles in the wild, despite House Ferragamo seemingly discontinuing it justifiably.

Avoid at all costs.
