Excitement - and Relaxation
Today was an exciting day for me, as my husband and I met the new partner of my dear mother-in-law.

I was so nervous, as if I had my first date.

My husband was visibly unimpressed and shook his head in disbelief at my clothing "vernissage."
Chic, but not over the top - casual, but not sloppy was how I wanted my look to be.
A dress, a skirt, or pants - what should it be?

My husband dryly asked me if I had made such a "fuss" at our first meeting as well?
Uh - to be honest - no.
He still remembered my checkered cotton shirt, paired with jeans that had "real" holes in the knees.
Well, I was only responsible for myself back then.

Confused, I called my mother-in-law, and she understood, as she had picked out a chic dress for herself, only to realize in the mirror that it was a nightgown.
Also a good solution!
We laughed heartily, and the tension faded for both of us.

The meeting turned out to be harmonious - without any mishaps, and now I reflect on the day.
Ferragamo helps me with this, as it mirrors the events.
The lychee neroli blend starts fresh and exciting - but is gently calmed by powdery iris.
The orange blossom warms, and the patchouli conveys closeness.
Relaxation sets in.

So was my day - and may the lovely couple also enjoy good times together.

Iris and Neroli Sunbathe Together on Vacation
Hrrmrmrm… it’s evening again. The whole world is waiting for my new comment. The whole world? No… all the perfumes and parfumos! All the perfumes and parfumos? Nooo,… not all,… if I’m lucky, there are two or three here who are reading this despite the warm weather *sigh*

And yet I write day after day, at least as long as I still have samples or have tried scents in the city. Because I write many comments in advance so that I can totally spam here every day (but also to show my presence here so that you heartless lot don’t forget me, waah!), and because I don’t test fragrances every day (yes, yes, I’m not THAT much of a fragrance freak like you, I could theoretically survive for months without sniffing a single scent! Well, can you say the same about yourselves? “Being on vacation and therefore having no time for fragrances” doesn’t count, by the way! :DD).

He he, well, today it’s Salvatore Ferragamo’s turn. A brand from which I haven’t tried many fragrances yet. But if I stay here for a while longer, I’m sure I’ll have tried quite a few scents from this brand soon… which could be quite nice, considering the beautiful fragrances that seem to exist when you smell this one!

The Scent:
I have some difficulty smelling the lychee listed in the top notes, but I do smell two wonderful, soft, and beautiful fragrance notes at the beginning, namely a powdery iris that seems to come off a bit creamy, as well as lovely neroli, which gives off a nice, not citrusy-splashy, but still fresh scent.
I quickly also smell the musk, which isn’t too sweet at first, but its clean aura pairs excellently with the also clean-smelling iris.
The scent has something of some of those beautiful Prada Infusion fragrances, which all come off nice and pure, only this scent here is less soapy, which is often a noticeable characteristic of the Pradas.
It also smells as described later in the base (with the neroli being weaker then), but then another note comes in that somehow smells nutty. Yes, that might come from the patchouli, but to me it doesn’t smell earthy or really like patchouli, but really quite nutty. After a while, however, these notes fade again or become weaker! The musk becomes a bit sweeter, but doesn’t become heavier or oppressive (for warm days, it’s quite pleasant despite the increased sweetness) and the rest remains as described.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The projection is rather weak, and therefore the scent is only noticeable from up close. It will soon seem quite weak to oneself as well if you don’t spray it properly on your clothes or something!
The longevity is average for a summer scent, meaning it lasts about three to four hours and then is hardly noticeable anymore.

The Bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical or slightly oval and widens in height. It has a very thick glass bottom and is filled with light violet fragrance liquid. At the neck, there is a chrome band on which the cylindrical wooden cap sits. The name of the fragrance is visible on the front, below which is a signature that serves as the company logo. A beautiful bottle.

Ah, the fragrance with the long name has turned out to be very pleasant, even though it is actually quite simply structured and therefore hardly stands out from other similar scents. It belongs to that type of fragrances that convey a feeling of cleanliness and purity in the form of a pleasant scent, making you feel good and the fragrance sits nicely in the nose without ever becoming annoying.

The scent is wonderfully powdery soft, slightly creamy, and due to its looseness, it’s a damn good summer companion, as it can be worn very well on hot days due to its non-intrusive sweetness and not too strong powdery notes.

And it’s also very suitable as a vacation scent, for example when you’re at the beach and enjoying yourself under the sun and of course in the sea, lying on a water mattress and admiring the beautiful landscape made up of blue sea, blue sky, bikini tops and bikini bottoms. Sometimes even one-pieces. And more bikinis, and more one-pieces and more… damn, woe to anyone who says I desperately need a girlfriend, don’t say that, that’s nothing new!!! Come up with something new instead... or am I talking about myself here? Hmmm.... :D
(Next time I’ll just tell you something about Batman again... well, that’s what you get!)

As I said, the scent is definitely worth testing if you like powdery and clean fragrances and don’t mind occasionally perceiving a nutty scent.

Delicate powdery, clean, just sweet, this violet is perfect. Like an exclusive skin cream, subtly perfumed. Embraces, seduces...

Here, orris root and patchouli develop into an almost dusty, dry powder scent that smells like lightly scented drawer paper.

I'm in the beautiful large luxury bathroom of a villa, sniffing the exquisite bar of soap at the sink.

A floating beauty - gently enveloped with iris.
Softly kissed by the sun - covered with orange blossoms.
A hint of patch. Lovely!

An almost ethereal, buttery-soft iris enveloped by orange blossoms, fine heliotrope & a hint of vanilla. Dreamy beautiful, but fleeting.

Only cool iris at first. Then summer days at the outdoor pool come to mind (childhood days). Apparently a "sunscreen note."

Definitely unisex, full-bodied, no floral notes, calorie-free sweetness, ballet, ground almonds, iris, leather... So: No regrets about the blind buy!
