Ferragamo Intense Leather Salvatore Ferragamo 2021

Replace the musky violet-leaf note from the EDT with some more leather and add a tiny bit of iris, and you have this fragrance.

I catch wafts of this every once in a while while sitting at my desk. The leather note is strikingly similar to the one in Tom Ford's Ombre Leather, which was a pleasant surprise.

My favorable impression of this fragrance may be partly due to my low expectations going in.

Perhaps it's the red apple note, but this fragrance is sweeter than Ombre Leather, making it more wearable.

It's around 30% similar to Ombre Leather, with noticeable differences up close, but a very similar overall vibe in the air. I wasn't the biggest fan of Ombre Leather, so I might opt for this one instead.

Overall, this fragrance isn't a must-try, but if you're wandering around the department store with nothing else to do, give it a sniff.

Imagine yourself, aged 6, snuggled up in your father's leather jacket during a long evening at your parents' friends' house.

This fragrance takes me back to my childhood; it's similar to certain fougère fragrances from the 90s. A touch of modernity provided by the leather makes it truly post-modern.

Very easily adaptable to different situations, it is nevertheless quite mature (+25 years old).

I first had tested this at my local Nordstroms. The opening was alright. It’s grown on me. It was when in my car both my daughter and I noted the drydown was very nice. In fact magical off my skin.

I have other leather scents. But I like this because Ferragamo Intense Leather’s develops on my skin quite nicely, it’s that journey we all seek. I get that earthiness which at first smelled dirty but in a nice way. It gives that edge to this fragrances.

Then a leathery sweetness slowly fades in while the earthiness slightly fades into the background, but still lingers like a memorable kiss. I’ve produced music and this fragrance speaks to me. It has notes that pan in and out. But the sweet leather and Iris are always there till they gently fade together into this pieces sunset.

I’ve clocked this scent on my skin for 8-10+ hrs overall, again on my skin. It really clings to my skin and clothes. Peak performance? 4-5 hrs, again off my skin.

I’ve got Ombré Leather and its clones, but I prefer Ferragamo Intense Leather. Thats the way this fragrance hobby goes. Some fragrances just work, from the jump, even when doubted at first, or it grows on you. It’s like an individual and that specific scent were meant for each other.

Still uncommented. Today I stumbled upon it in the perfumery.

Anyone expecting a leather scent here, like the ones created by Tom Ford, which indeed focus on rough, oily notes, will be disappointed.

The style here leans more towards broader wearability. The opening is definitely dominated by a fruity, subtly tart note, gradually revealing a warmer, friendlier leather underneath.

More like a school pencil case than a naughty biker boot. :)

Quite pleasant, not entirely free from a slight synthetic touch, but still very solid.
