Fantastic!

If you, like me, love the OG, but live in a hotter climate and thus had to wait till it cooled down to wear the OG? Our prayers have been answered with a fresher, smoother blended take with way better longevity. nnIt’s so good, having the OG and this is doesn’t make sense, just buy “Metallic”. As SB Metallic Musk still has enough depth to rock it in cooler weather. This is a leatherman/Gerber SpiceBomb for sure.

CLEAN MEETS SPICY

The name might say “metallic,” but the scent is anything but. It is warm, creamy, and enveloping, more like a silky bar of Dove soap blended with the original Spicebomb DNA.

It opens with modern soapy aldehydes wrapped in pillowy soft musk, but you can still clearly catch the original Spicebomb DNA underneath. As it develops, the creaminess slowly fades, and by the five to six hour mark you are left with a woody, spicy drydown that feels deep and comforting.

This version leans heavily on black pepper and pimento, so if you love that fiery bite, you are in luck. Cinnamon is present too, making the contrast between the clean, creamy soapiness and the hot spices even more striking. Clean, but still spicy.

Longevity and projection are solid, and the overall vibe is classy, wearable, and versatile. It is polished enough for everyday use but still has that little extra spark that keeps it interesting. And the silver bottle? Cute! I like the color.

Great Gentle Version in the Direction of Rehab

I'm a bit surprised that no one has submitted a review yet. This line has been so hyped since its launch, also due to this bottle with its iconic hand grenade design. I was really looking forward to this release as I enjoy releases and, in this case, flankers with clean and fluffy musk. I managed to get a sample and have already tested it extensively. Overall, this entire line is a safe bet when it comes to radiating a pleasing and seductive DNA. At the top is, of course, the extremely hyped "Spicebomb Extreme | Viktor & Rolf," but the other fragrances in this line also hold their own. This Metallic Musk is clearly a rather clean musk scent that leans slightly towards "Rehab | Initio." It's rather uninteresting if you already own that and don't want to expand your collection too much. For those who find the Initios too expensive, this offers a slightly toned-down version of these great clean DNAs. An extremely pleasing musk-clean note paired with this softened Spicebomb spice. Still quite pricey at the MSRP, but there will surely be good offers soon.

This hand grenade is available in 50 and 100ml. The 100ml is worth it, as this is quite suitable for everyday wear. This fragrance is wearable like Rehab throughout the entire year and for all occasions. This sweetness, clean musk, and mild spice are rarely out of place. Perhaps only during sports activities and in the heat of summer, as there are better options in this line even in the depths of winter.
Metallic Musk captures this direction quite well. The metallic aspect of this fragrance is only subtly present due to aldehydes, but it is noticeable. Much more prominent is this fluffy-creamy and slightly powdered musk note. Along with the spice and these clean notes, you get a relatively fresh composition. The Spicebomb DNA is perceivable in a milder way, yet it can still be identified as such. A clean and fresh lavender note is also present, enhancing this "white" touch. The spicy cinnamon note is not wintry, making it a spicy note that is almost wearable throughout the entire year. Towards the end, this musk base becomes stronger, giving off creamy-warm notes. Overall, a great sweet base that you can simply like. I perceive 0.0 leather in the base, just clean-sweet and uncomplicated. Musk, ambrette seeds, and a pleasant sweetness do their job well. Overall, a very harmonious creation that becomes softer over time.
The performance is noticeably weaker than, for example, the Initio or the significantly heavier fragrances in this line, but you can't really hold that against this flanker. It still impresses with a minimum of 6-7 hours of longevity and a pleasant projection bubble. Similar to Rehab, this is quite unisex and can also be worn by women without any problems.

In my eyes, this flanker is a success. A fragrance DNA that almost always works and simply provides this pleasant, sensually clean feeling. Nothing really new if you know Rehab. If not, and you have a budget, this fragrance is a great alternative.
