Rococo Pie
Rococo Pie dries down to something that smells almost identical to Pastel Rumours. The main difference lies in the opening, where you get a burst of tangerine and coconut that gives it a slightly pastry-like vibe—maybe even a pie-like impression, which fits the name. I found the opening interesting and somewhat unique, but I was surprised by how quickly it started to resemble Pastel Rumours as it settled.
If anything, Pastel Rumours might be a touch fruitier, while Rococo Pie brings in a bit more sandalwood, maybe some musk or amber, which tones the fruit down slightly and makes it just a hair more subdued. There’s also a hint of powderiness, but I wouldn’t call it a powdery scent overall. I also get a subtle nutty undertone, which adds a slightly more gourmand feel compared to the other two—but I wouldn’t label it “oriental,” as it’s described on Fragrantica.
All three from Sarah Baker’s "peach trio"—Peach’s Revenge, Pastel Rumours, and Rococo Pie—smell good. I don’t take issue with the scent profiles themselves, but they do start to feel a bit redundant side by side. If you’ve smelled one, you kind of get the vibe of the others. I also can’t help but feel that there are likely cheaper alternatives out there with a similar fruity-gourmand profile.
In terms of occasions, it fits in the same category as the other two: unisex but more feminine-leaning, best for casual settings. Think fall, spring, maybe winter—probably not for hot weather unless you're outdoors.
Read my reviews for Pastel Rumours and Peach’s Revenge for a fuller comparison, but overall, unless you're collecting the line, you probably don’t need all three.
