When my girlfriend told me that she received the "Spirit of Romantic Love | Spirit" as a gift from a patient, I was initially very skeptical. The low price, the cheap and ugly bottle, and then it’s supposed to smell like Love Don't Be Shy Perfume? In the end, I actually find the scent quite successful. My better half is even really enthusiastic! The performance is, in this price segment, bearable but could be improved. The longevity on my skin is 6 to 8 hours with a subtle sillage.

The top note briefly introduces a subtly fruity-citrusy yet synthetic note of bergamot, blackcurrants, and raspberries into the fragrance, before it smells sweet and gourmand like marshmallows and cotton candy. The heart note is floral and powdery thanks to rose water, lily of the valley, daffodils, orange blossoms, iris, violets, and magnolias. The base offers a creamy vanilla with a hint of musk.

Since the "Spirit of Romantic Love | Spirit" is very affordable, a blind purchase is definitely worthwhile.

I am so surprised! I never thought there would be such a great affordable alternative to Love Don't Be Shy Perfume or № 3 Intense. This one is also intensely sweet with those wonderful orange blossoms and delicious sweet marshmallow. It is sexy and elegant at the same time, wonderfully floral and sweet.
At first slightly citrusy, but it becomes more subdued over time.
I don't find it artificial at all, everything is very finely woven, a perfect interplay! They may not be 1-to-1 similar, but it goes very strongly in that direction. Of course, it's not as dense and rich as the original. BUT! To be honest! It really doesn't get any cheaper! I will definitely get a bottle, maybe even 2, at that price you can't go wrong. I really have a lot of fragrances, but this one just has to join my collection. Price top, longevity top, sillage also top, just maybe reapply. I am so happy! Love it!

Being as pragmatic as I am, I thought to myself, just head into DM, look for the bottle and bam, spray it on without thinking too much about what to expect.

The first second after I generously sprayed two hefty pumps onto my wrist, I immediately thought: OH YES, that was the red children's cough syrup that I quite liked as a child. This squeaky sweet sticky stuff, with that medicinal taste in the background.
Yes, this scent reminds me of that 1 to 1.

Do I find the scent nice? Yes
Do I need to have it? No, I like the scent, but somehow associate it with illness.

I asked my husband if this scent reminds him of cough syrup too? He clearly said yes.

H/S is really good, and the price is really great. :-)
