And fittingly, this fragrance.
Sweet fruits with coconut in the top note make you long for warm weather.
The flowers in the heart provide fullness, with the lily of the valley being the most prominent for me.
The patchouli in the base is not too dominant, so the scent doesn’t become overwhelming even at higher temperatures.
Discounted items can also be really good.
However, you can only get this one online, as many stores have removed it from their offerings.
I like it a lot and can really enjoy it in these temperatures.

Spirit of Blooming Delight does not need to hide, even though it can be found in the absolute low-price segment - it is truly a fragrance that is beautifully floral, gentle, and gives a rather high-priced impression. Yes, I bought it because of its similarity to Carat Eau de Parfum, but I must say that I find both fragrances to be quite different (Cartier has its own fragrance DNA, which I always compare to freshly starched, ironed curtains - I like this DNA). Both have their own characters, and I think that's a good thing. Blooming Delight is a great everyday fragrance that certainly works well in the office - it holds up excellently on clothing. Longevity will certainly not exceed 2 or 3 hours, but the bottle is nice and small, so it fits in the backpack. I also imagine this fragrance to be lovely on vacation - freshly showered, and then applying it generously - you can use a bit more of it.

I buy fragrances by scent and not by price. I was instilled with this lesson by my Uncle Karl about 50 years ago, which feels like an eternity. He was a wholesaler for cosmetics and hairdressing supplies, and his warehouse in the 70s was paradise for me. To his greatest regret, his only child was a son, so he took pleasure in introducing me to the intricacies of cosmetics. Thus, in my closet, you will find Dior fragrances next to so-called discount items from the drugstore.

I always enjoy testing Spirit fragrances. Unfortunately, so far, there hasn’t been the ultimate great scent among them. To me, the fragrances from the company somehow smell the same, regardless of their names or colors. Yesterday, I tested the new fragrance Spirit of Blooming Delight. The beginning wasn’t bad. Fresh, fruity, and citrusy with a hint of bitterness from the blackcurrant. I could have liked that. Unfortunately, a piercing undertone mixed in. It didn’t dissipate quickly with La Rive fragrances. A bouquet of flowers where you couldn’t sniff out a single scent flattened the freshness. Then came the warmer notes like musk, patchouli, and cedarwood. If it hadn’t been for the strict cashmere wood, I could have warmed up to the fragrance. Thus, it was neither fish nor fowl, but just a disharmonious cloud of scent. Longevity was quite long at 4 hours. It could have even been longer, but after that time, I scrubbed the scent off. It was simply a sentence with X.
