Beautiful but Very Light
If you like the type of orange blossom that it in Serge Luten's Fleurs d'Oranger and Houbigant's Orangers en Fleurs but didn't like the cumin in the former or the strength of the later, and the skankiness in both, than this is a great alternative because it shares that same slightly spicy orange blossom but none of the attributes of the others I mentioned. As such, I find it more wearable, but I also find it disappointing in the performance department.
I had purchased the generous sample packs of all the fragrances this brand makes and was able to get a few wears out of each. This has to be over sprayed, and even then, it is very light and disappears too fast off my skin, especially on a warm day. About 2 hours later I found myself pulling out my travel sprayer of Houbigant's Oranger en Fleurs to give myself a shot of orange blossom I was missing here. One spray was all I needed because it is beast mode compared to this. If you like very light fragrances, you might like this as it is a beautiful fragrance, but personally I found it too light and fleeting for my tastes.

Glorious Flower
I own a few and have tested countless orange blossom perfumes, but to me this is the one, the perfect specimen. Many scents that feature orange blossom either focus on the juicy fruit rather than the flower, or go into the classic cologne, astringent neroli-heavy direction. This does neither, but really lets the flower take center stage in all its waxy, botanic and seducing glory. I find this very, very wearable in all seasons and quintessentially unisex.

Orange Blossom Charm
Years ago, I participated in a private giveaway here and actually received a five-piece sample set of delicate vanilla creations by Sylvaine Delacourte.
At that time, I was still very unfamiliar with the world of vanilla fragrances and only knew the heavy, sometimes very cloying and warm compositions; many of them shocked or overwhelmed me.
So, I was enchanted by the fine, subtle way vanilla appears in Sylvaine Delacourte's creations.
I have discussed them all here so that they won't be forgotten.

Of course, I am now also intrigued by the "Collection Fleur d'Oranger" with compositions centered around the charming orange blossoms.
I love the scent of orange blossoms; will they also come across as gracefully here as the vanilla fragrances?
Gelis offered me the opportunity to answer this question with various samples, as she knows me and my curiosity all too well by now!

“Olyssia” showcases the fragrant, bitter beauty of the pomeranate, especially the neroli oil derived from its blossoms, in a stylish presentation; cardamom is an interesting addition.
The delicate flowers of the oranges, as harmless as they may look, share something with the white, opulent jasmine blossoms when fully ripe: Their often strong radiance just before wilting appeals to the senses and has an erotic effect - so much for “white innocence.”
Sylvaine Delacourte manages to give these two fragrance notes a certain virginal charm despite everything.
Their aromas caress and stroke sensually and tenderly, thus fitting perfectly with the invigorating fresh opening: Everything feels like a pretty pastel-hued fragrance watercolor.
Now, it is well known that these light-footed, flattering compositions need a certain counterbalance to avoid becoming too ethereal.
“Olyssia” gains its grounding from two great classics of fragrance art:
Through skillfully dosed sandalwood and vetiver notes, a slightly animalistic, creamy-earthy base is created.
It never becomes too heavy, but rather supports this special fragrance quality; these notes harmonize perfectly with this graceful creation, from which, of course, one cannot expect long-lasting durability.

This is yet another one of those fragrance masterpieces that invite re-spraying; the reunion with this “orange blossom fairy” is a pleasure every time.
And especially in this often so gray, lightless season.

Dressed in a Whiff of Nothing?
Yes, yes, yes folks, I know what you’re thinking when I choose such titles, right? The Don Juan de Cat again, with his bizarre fantasies. But look, doesn’t the name of the fragrance sound like a Greek beauty from antiquity, lightly and airily hopping through the radiant sun? No? Well, let’s see what or who Olyssia is. Hmm… according to the description, Olyssia is the name of an Italian princess… ahaaaa! So it’s a woman after all! I knew it! Well, well? What do you say now? :DD Alright, let’s move on.

The name Olyssia is composed of two words, namely Olivia and Delicacy. Olivia was chosen based on the olive trees from the region of this princess’s ancestors, and Delicacy is supposed to describe the sweet life in this region. Combining both terms gives us Olyssia. And it is said that when this princess walks by, she would awaken the senses, and the light would be dimmed and… WHAT? The LIGHT would be dimmed? Uh, why on earth??? So please… THIS is really the official fragrance description and you complain to ME when I write such things?? Tsss…

But: I was right with my gut feeling, just with the difference that I thought of a Greek woman instead of an Italian one.

Alright, now that that’s settled, let’s get to the fragrance description… and never complain to me again when I write such things or describe various fantasies, mu ha ha ha :D

The Fragrance:
The fragrance starts off very fresh and refreshing with oranges that smell like a bitter orange peel, which actually smells good. There are also slightly sweet (and also slightly sour) mandarins, which are very nicely done, although the mandarins are weaker than the oranges. A little orange blossom is added, and you have a beautiful, fresh top note that also comes across as sparkling.
Later, you can quite clearly smell the gently sweet jasmine, while the citrus notes become a bit weaker, with the orange blossoms now being the most noticeable of these notes.
For a while, the fragrance radiates almost only jasmine and orange blossoms until the base becomes a little more floral. This makes the fragrance a bit more humid, but it still remains nice.
From now on, the fragrance doesn’t really change anymore, as you can almost only smell the floral notes and the orange blossoms. The flowers smell sweet and do not become any more humid, but remain pleasant and slightly powdery. The fragrance doesn’t offer much variety, but overall it smells quite nice.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is okay for a citrus-fresh fragrance. It’s not a knockout that you could smell from miles away, but at least it’s not too close either. The longevity is about six to seven hours, after which it has almost completely disappeared from the skin.

The Bottle:
The bottle is inflated and filled with yellowish fragrance liquid. On the front, it has a label that shows a nice drawing of orange blossoms alongside the name. The cylindrical cap appears to be made of brushed metal and has been gilded. A beautiful bottle.

Conclusion:
So, first of all: The fragrance starts off really wonderfully. It is citrusy and fresh and smells of great oranges. Thus, the fragrance is quite refreshing at first, especially on warm days. Later, it becomes more floral and somewhat humid, but it’s still not really heavy, so this fragrance represents a spring and summer scent for me.

It may lack a bit of variety and really doesn’t offer anything new, but it still has a nice scent, so it might be worth a look if you like fresh and citrusy fragrances as well as floral-sweet perfumes.

While the beginning is fresh, I would actually recommend the middle part or the base for going out, unfortunately, the sillage doesn’t do much there, as the fragrance quickly becomes weaker and doesn’t last particularly long. Thus, it remains more of a day/work fragrance, which isn’t a bad thing.

And that’s it. I can’t think of anything else right now, because if I think any longer, images of the Italian princess who is supposed to awaken the senses come to mind… and if I start rambling about certain things, then I’m once again to blame for everything or I’m seen as the pig here, right? Bah… :D

Okay, even if you complain, I still wish you all a nice evening, see you next time!

A light, soapy and innocent orange blossom scent. Could be good for someone looking for an inoffensive white floral.

O-floral variant with a distinct jasmine note and a hint of sweetness. A few spritzes of citrus and a touch of wood complete it nicely.

A classic mix of neroli / orange blossom and jasmine. Petitgrain adds a bitter green touch at the start. The rest stays in the background.

Orange and neroli, paired with fresh jasmine, that's what I smell. No scent progression, stays floral-fresh, very pleasant at 32 degrees.

Orange blossom kisses orange, covered by clean musk.
Bright, light, fresh with just a hint of sweetness.
Becomes very soapy in the dry down.

Reminds me of Paris Riviera, but with more orange blossom followed by jasmine. Becomes creamy-woody, subtly spicy. So far, I like this one the best out of the 5.

A caress for heart and soul: Nothing exciting, just gracefully flowing scents from the orange family, arranged on a creamy base.
