Hello there! I'm back to save the evening with a new comment. Because by the time you read these lines, your boredom has already flown away, and you are enjoying the description of a new fragrance from me. And I bet you had to smile just now, right? :D
I hope the heat of the last few days (especially today) hasn't worn you out too much, although I found the weather unbearable as well, but you know I generally don't like summer, so I curse any weather that is too hot, aaaargh! :D
Anyway, today I'm coming to a brand I hadn't heard of until now: Téo Cabanel. It's about the fragrance Café Cabanel. Hmm… Coffee always sounds good, right? Even though I'm more of a tea fragrance fan, I enjoy both coffee and tea very much. But you, as my (hopefully) regular readers, already know that, just like you know that I sometimes freak out when someone dares to pour milk into tea… oh man, just remember once and for all: tea is enjoyed pure, and coffee with milk! But no, people prefer to drink their coffee black and pure, and their tea milky,… Argh, it's as bad as the current hot weather *sigh* :DD
Anyway, the inspiration for this fragrance comes from French cafés, where you sit outside in summer in wicker chairs at metal, round tables and order an espresso. While the espresso arrives, the lady pulls out two of her most essential items (according to the description, so don’t blame me if this sounds cliché :D): namely her perfume and her lipstick. The lips are beautifully painted with lipstick, making them kissable, and a few spritzes of the fragrance complete the whole thing, so that when the lady finishes her coffee or espresso and leaves the café, she leaves behind a sensual aura… well, something like that!!
The Fragrance:
The fragrance starts off spicy-sweet. At first, you can even smell a patchouli-like, earthy note, but then you get sweet, powdery notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and general pastry (e.g., pieces with vanilla pudding, like those delicious vanilla pastries, hmmm….) and of course a bit of coffee, although the coffee note turned out to be weaker than I expected.
Then there are almondy notes, so I suspect this is the heliotrope, which you can smell well and which also smells good. The coffee becomes slightly stronger and now also creamier (milk coffee :D)
Later, the vanilla becomes the strongest note, as you can not only smell it very well, but it also lays over most of the other fragrance notes. Besides the vanilla, you can still smell the heliotrope with its almondy notes quite well. A little later, the tonka bean also comes through better, which, like the vanilla, has a powdery scent and gives off a (dark) sweetness. Caramel also blends well with the sweet notes and makes you think of those delicious caramel candies (oh man, with this fragrance, I can’t help but think about eating!!).
In any case, the fragrance remains sweet, gourmand, and powdery-soft and mostly smells of vanilla. A very nice fragrance that may not offer anything new these days, but is still something quite fine because it smells so wonderful.
The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is quite good; you leave behind this described, sensual scent cloud that everyone can smell! The longevity is also very good and lasts longer than fourteen, fifteen hours.
The Bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical (though I believe with a slightly indented surface) and gilded. On it, you can see red and black paint splashes as "decor." The gilded cap is T-shaped and features a red silk ribbon at the bottom. All in all, quite nice.
So folks, the fragrance has turned out really beautiful. The coffee note could have been a bit stronger, as the fragrance transitions to the vanilla and gourmand notes a bit too quickly in my opinion, but well, it still smells good, among other things, even mouth-watering and hunger-inducing when you perceive scents that remind you of cakes and pastries.
Due to the gourmand scent, the perfume is more suited for autumn and winter, preferably for going out and… how could it be otherwise with such fragrances, to smell delicious! It only becomes dangerous when you actually go out with someone and eat a piece like vanilla pastry. Because when a man has the (once again, of course, non-existent) girlfriend with this fragrance next to him and enjoys delicious pastries on the side, he really wouldn’t know what to bite into, right? Ugh,… that was expressed so cheesily, brrrr… :DD
Hehe, anyway, the fragrance is definitely worth trying for all gourmand fragrance lovers (or vanilla fans), the only question is where you can test the fragrance (I only had a sample of it…). But if you see it somewhere, then feel free to test it! Just not now in this murderous heat, as the fragrance could be quite overwhelming then.
Well, with that, I’ll conclude and wish you all a lovely evening :)
