Magical
A successful birth from the pairing of Opium Vapeurs de Parfum and Flower by Kenzo Eau de Lumière .
When you first spray it on, Vie is clearly comparable to Opium. It is a little more subtle in terms of sillage and also, unfortunately, has a slightly shorter shelf life than Opium. In terms of notes, there is a little less powder here than in Opium. Where Opium has a powder/paper note, Vie is marginally sweeter. Lumiere also clearly comes through here and thus also a little of the original flower Flower by Kenzo Eau de Parfum. However, it is very restrained. But if, like me, you know the fragrance inside out, you can sniff it out! Alberto Morillas, who also created the classic, is certainly responsible for this DNA.
You could say that Opium, probably due to the pepper and benzoin, takes on the more grown-up, serious father figure, whereas the Lumiere mother has inherited the more warm, lively, playful genes through pear, jasmine and honey
As I loved and still love both Opium and Lumiere, I was delighted to have found this treasure. Two favorite fragrances combined in one and yet somehow brand new. But as is always the case with all the variants: this one is also hard to find now and will probably soon be swallowed up by the market and disappear again.
What remains are magical moments with every spray and every breeze that breathes the pleasant scent into your nose. *rave*
