Absolutely beautiful

A very feminine and soft your skin, but better perfume. Clean but not soapy. Close to the skin and intimate. Very comforting and cozy. Fresh out of the shower vibes. The florals are very light and not overpowering. This perfume was said to evoke “self love and self care” and I think this perfume has done exactly that.

Clean girl vibes and comforting sweet florals

The 7 Virtues definitely got on the clean girl / your-skin-but-better hype train with their own interpretation, but something in there truly works for me, more than others I have tested. I've smelled it a couple times at Sephora and finally decided to go for a travel size, now that I had the place after decluttering my collection of travel size perfumes.

It starts with a subtle pink pepper. Instead of being spicy, it leans more woody with a hint of that pencil shavings I've come to recognise in certain fragrances that use pink pepper. Thankfully, it's not overpowering, more like a soft introduction to what is to come. It doesn't take too long before the flowers appear, lending a sweet and fresh to the scent. It's really cozy and clean with absolutely no powderiness which I really enjoyed. Freshness remains as the vanilla and musk start to wander in, adding more sweetness, warmth and creaminess.

I can't really put my finger on what draws me into this fragrance, but it was a surprise for sure. I see myself wearing it anytime I want to smell just a little bit better. It's comforting, simple yet elegant. I'll be using up my travel size and then pondering on whether I want a full bottle or not.

Vanilla and amber fresh out of the shower

I didn't like the other two vanilla fragrances by The 7 Virtues, but this one is really enjoyable. The name might be a little misleading - when I hear Amber Vanilla, I think of something very warm and balsamic. The amber here is the clean, modern, fuzzy kind, which makes sense when you look at the notes list with ambroxan and iso-e super.

So, this is a clean, slightly warm scent that is perfect for everyday use and could basically be worn year round.
It smells freshly showered without smelling like shower gel. Just steaming warm, clean, musky skin with a touch of vanilla and pink pepper on top. The floral notes don't stand out much.
I love that it feels smooth and subtle, not harsh like some other molecule-based ambers. There is a creaminess in the base which rounds out any hard edges. The scent as a whole feels kind of like a soft sandalwood fragrance, even though the notes don't indicate it.

I agree with those who voted this as similar to Glossier You. They're not twins, but at least cousins. I completely disagree with the comparison to Room 1015 Sonic Flower though. To my nose, Amber Vanilla and Sonic Flower are on the opposite ends of the "clean skin musk/You DNA" spectrum, with Sonic Flower being clean like detergent and Amber Vanilla being warmer and more skin-like. Glossier You itself is, logically, somewhere in the middle.

Clean and Comforting

Like a warmer version of You Eau de Parfum thanks to the vanilla. Reminds me of how my grandparents' house smelled growing up. Bright, airy and open but still cozy. This will be really fun to use when I experiment with layering. I got this in a Sephora sampler set and based on the value of this I probably won't be redeeming the voucher for this but this is definitely going on my wishlist and something I would purchase for myself.

Bare vanilla?

This reminds me of Victoria's Secret Bare Vanilla. I could have sworn that cashmeran was a note. I seem to be in the minority, but I thought this was a basic vanilla with a heavy synthetic background. The pink pepper just added a note of sharpness, but no bright or peppery notes. Overall I was really disappointed in this house, but this one in particular I was looking forward to but it seemed to be a sloppy, unblended mess.
