Pedal Boating

When visiting Konstanz at Lake Constance, one starts checking off various items on a to-do list. Besides the beautiful old town, the smaller very informative museums, a climbing course, and the university's own botanical garden along with a micro-zoo, I absolutely wanted to go pedal boating.

So I rented one and set off. After about 15 minutes, I was initially out of breath. -Break- and while doing so, letting my gaze lazily drift over the silver sparkling water.
Listening to the gurgling of the water gently lapping against the boat and watching the small sailboats maneuvering in the distance. Soft birdsong in my ears and a light breeze tousling my hair, allowing my thoughts to wander.
Wonderful.

The scent:
Tommy The Girl fits this situation quite well.
The beginning is fresh, fruity, and slightly sweet. Some component initially stands out as artificial but disappears quite quickly. Clearly recognizable is the sweet pear, which becomes a bit scratchy over time (a bit too ripe for my taste, but that's subjective).
The lily of the valley then adds a slightly more serious note. It is fresh, but not refreshing. Clean, but not washed. Sweet, but not cloying.
After half an hour, it becomes creamier and a bit silkier in the dry down. Probably the cashmere wood. I can't really detect cedar, but that's not a problem. The scent already tells its story.
It doesn't last well. It was about 4 hours on my skin. The sillage is also subtle.
This scent does not surprise. It is what it claims to be. A girl.
With a fashionable style, large hoops. Long hair tied up in a bun and a phone in hand for scrolling.
For me, it was just right for pedal boating, as the girl (deep down, we are all little reflections of ourselves in loud, cheeky, defiant, and childish ways) that I sometimes like to be, the scent said, "I am nice and won't hurt you."
Conclusion:
A good beginner scent for young adolescents. Not expensive to buy and well made for that.
Sweet, fruity, creamy, fresh (not refreshing but clean), not intrusive and not loud. It doesn't last super long, but you can always reapply.

For adults like me (not really always, but by age then :-D), a lovely outing on the lake with peace, water, sun, and vacation.

Beach Vacation with Fig and Pear

'The Girl' smells completely different from 'Tommy Girl'.
It is a floral scent, fresh like a sea breeze, a little sweet, but not too much. Pear dominates, and it is a juicy, green pear. I am usually not a fan of pear as a fragrance note because it often goes in that dessert direction that I don't like, but that is not the case here. Fig or fig leaf supports the juicy, refreshing character of the perfume, and violet leaf adds a slightly green note. I usually can't stand lily of the valley in perfume, but here I can hardly detect it; together with the jasmine, it only contributes to a floral component and a light unobtrusive sweetness. This gives the perfume a subtle femininity and ensures that it doesn't become too unisex. A light soapy-clean character gently settles over the other fragrance notes after a while. Cashmere wood and cedar come in last. The fresh sea breeze from the top note now blows through a cedar forest; spicy, woody, and forest notes join in.

Overall, I find the scent fresh and maritime, the anchor on the bottle fits quite well. A nice, uncomplicated summer fragrance for uncomplicated young girls and women, playful without being kitschy and, despite all its simplicity, not boring and characterless, but rather with a few interesting corners and edges. A feel-good scent for the beach vacation, especially for those who are fed up with squeaky-sweet fruit salad summer fragrances. Due to the pears and figs in the fragrance pyramid, it is also wearable in late summer and autumn, especially since it instantly evokes good moods and memories of summer.
If someone wants to get rid of a bottle, they are welcome to contact me, because as someone who usually gets creeped out by lily of the valley and pear in the fragrance pyramid, I have actually fallen a little in love with this scent!

Salty Fig Freshness

I just got this fragrance because I was looking for something fresh for sports, which I have been doing at least three times a week for quite some time now (yes, I’m very proud of that!). And you never have what you need in terms of scent. Then this girl crossed my path. The anchor on the bottle immediately appealed to me as a Northern light from the waterfront! I took a quick sniff, oh yes, nice and fresh, and without much thought, I took it with me.

I wouldn’t have thought of the similarity to Womanity on my own, but since I read it, I can smell it too ;) However, in a significantly toned-down form. The Girl starts pleasantly fresh, without that typical toilet cleaner citrus freshness. Fortunately, I don’t smell anything cucumber-like, but rather something fig-like with a bit of salt. It definitely smells pleasant. As the scent develops on me, it becomes very creamy, as if I had applied a nice body lotion, and it stays that way. Fortunately, The Girl has absolutely nothing synthetic for me.

The longevity on my skin is better than expected. I can distinctly perceive two or three sprays for several hours. Maybe it also depends on the temperatures. In summer, my skin tends to devour fragrances, while in autumn and winter, I always have to significantly reduce the dosage.

Conclusion: The Girl is not a huge hit, but a pleasant companion that will surely be great in summer, and it also lets me smell pleasantly fresh during sports. And I didn’t expect more from it.

If you like scents like Malone's Wood Sage & Sea Salt, you should definitely give this one a try. Slightly sweet salt & dried fruit! Too sweet for warmth, though.
