Who loves pepper around the ears, yes, but beware, DD really bitterly harsh biting

Pepper hits you around the ears. Impressions of metallic mugwort (Artemisia), a slight fruity sweetness from beginning to end. Long (enduring) bergamot top note. I place A Better Man Eau de Toilette between the also peppery "Intrigo Devastante Intense | Parfums Vintage," which it resembles as long as it is still unfolding before the end-DD, and the fruity-leathery and also partly unidentifiable "Guess 1981 for Men | Guess," which has a similar progression and similar drydown type.
So far not bad, but

beware, in the end, you have an indestructible residue of harsh (aggressive) biting end-DD, which I still haven't gotten out of my shirt after 2 washes.

Man, I was totally surprised by this one when I wrote the statement. Bergamot, juniper, then cedar... but after a few tests, the love has unfortunately already faded. I was probably so positively surprised because it came to me from the blind spot: I had Toni Gard filed away like Police and the like under
"not worth knowing." I see A Better Man as hopefully not the only step in the right direction.

The opening is fresh. So damn fresh, and yet you notice the pepper. In my opinion, too much of it; probably white. At times, you can already sense the cedar in the opening. Quickly, a lot of juniper comes in, which fits well; patchouli, rather in the background and sometimes only later; and vetiver, cooling, but also more in the background. Only sometimes did I smell gin and tonic, a successful 50-50 mix. After a maximum of 2 hours, the pepper finally understood that the stage does not belong only to him and noticeably makes room for others, but he is not completely gone. Almost simultaneously, a bit of ginger appears, whose presence really leaves something to be desired, which cannot be said for ambroxan. It also comes in later and does its job quite okay, not overpowering the now revealed cedar and fortunately not the juniper either. Until the dry down, there are still remnants of patchouli and vetiver present.

So, it starts fresh and (too) peppery with juniper. In the middle part, some notes come in without changing much. Towards the end, mainly woody, dry, with juniper.

Sillage is in the normal range for fresh-spicy(-woody) EdTs. The longevity for me was mostly under 8 hours, so satisfactory.

As much as I like it, the whole excess of pepper is really getting on my nerves now. A pinch of allspice would have done the trick, or just leave it out altogether.
"I loved you!" were Obi-Wan's words, which reflect my mood regarding this dilemma well. And from below, the fresh-peppery mainstream looks back in confusion.
