Penetrating Chemical Cocktail
Male by Toni Gard was given to me a long time ago. Hmm, it was surely well-intentioned, but this one just doesn’t work for me. (Or is it generally about the quality of this fragrance?) On the test spray strip, it’s certainly okay, even though I personally always have to think of the creepy stinky cloud that envelops you when you enter the perfume department of a department store... I have never recognized any individual scent components in it.
The bad thing about Male is that it stubbornly wants to maintain its initial freshness and doesn’t develop at all on the skin. Somehow, I always find myself making comparisons to turpentine and brush cleaner or those anti-static sprays for screens. In the end, my scent sensors, despite their best perseverance, wave the white flag.
To be clear: Male is not an unpleasant scent in itself; it just somehow doesn’t get along with human skin and has a problem with its penetrating "perseverance."
