Great love of my mother
This fragrance was one of my mother's favorites. She loved many scents. I loved some of them, like JPG Classique. Others, such as KL or Angel (the latter often wore high doses), I did not like at all. If there is one fragrance that I clearly associate with her, it is Yohji. Unfortunately, she hasn't had a bottle in her possession for a long time, but I remember exactly how we tested it together for the first time and how much she loved it at the first taster.
Yohji was an innovation back then. Fruits and flowers bedded on vanilla, musk and woody notes. The fragrance is fresh, fruity, powdery and sweet, but not the way fragrance calibres with similar notes come around the corner nowadays. Not a steam hammer, but a delicately flattering, clearly feminine fragrance with a creamy vanilla note. But he had a good presence and the Sillage was not from bad parents. But he never got on his nerves, like Angel or Wish did it well when they had one sprayer too many. I find it exciting that even back then pineapples were a topic. Nowadays, it is very popular with men's fragrances, so the fruit was used to create a wonderful fragrance for women. And I remembered the pineapple very well, especially in the top note, which was pleasantly sweet-sour and mainly fruity. Only in the heart did jasmine and roses unfold, giving the fragrance a distinctly feminine touch. Though I believe that today even gentlemen would wear it, if it still existed. I keep reading about apple strudel with vanilla sauce and gingerbread among the currently popular men's classics, so why not?
Why I associate this scent with my mother? Well, I think it reflects her character very well. My mother, unlike me, who has clearly inherited her father's temperament, is a rather calm, grounded person. Nevertheless, you can laugh heartily and have fun with her at any time, even if you might not notice it at first sight. For me, this wonderful joy is conveyed by this fragrance, which, just like her and in contrast to a La vie est belle, for example, does not fall into the house with the door.
