Simply unacceptable for me
I am really someone who tries to treat every perfume and the perfumer behind it with respect. That's why my heart really bleeds today that I rated Quantum Charge In An Ice Palace so extremely badly. Fortunately, this happens very, very rarely. What can I say... There are fragrances that you either like or you don't. In this case, it's not "don't like", but unfortunately "don't like at all". I'll just put it down to me, my nose and some basic signature that unfortunately makes me have a crass compulsion to wash it off. And it must also be something that's not good for me, because, and I apologize again, I get totally nauseous when I sniff my skin. But there is one big praise nonetheless: the performance is brute (albeit bad for me, as I can't get rid of the scent). The scent lasts well over a day despite showering and washing my skin. The sillage is also very strong.
I can't really get any further here with top, heart and base notes. Nevertheless, I'll try to describe the scent. It is dominated by a blatantly intense cucumber aroma. Anyone who has ever picked fresh cucumbers from the garden knows how much more intense they smell than those from a Dutch greenhouse. I actually really like cucumbers - but only as food. What makes it worse is this strange, green synthetic smell and an earthy mustiness that reminds me of freshly hatched sprouts. There is also a good portion of dill in the mix.
I hope that I am completely alone with this extremely negative opinion of Quantum Charge In An Ice Palace. My "date" from last night didn't find the fragrance particularly intoxicating either (at least the residue on my skin, which simply didn't go away despite showering). Once again, I'd like to thank Nick for the many bottlings.
