Sublime
A superb perfume! I recommend it! A very special scent! It's feminine, discreet...Since it's discontinued, I bought an almost full bottle from a collector at a reasonable price and I'm glad I did. It's a sublime perfume that you can wear with pleasure before going to bed. For about the first 15 minutes after spraying it's not a delightful scent. After that, it's wonderful. Rating: 9/10

the aroma of honey and jasmine ...
... united in a blossom: that is the secret of honeysuckle; also known by the names Chèvrefeuille, Honeysuckle, or Jelängerjelieber.
Depending on the region, many names are added; for when warmth and water supply are right, this usually pleasantly sweet and floral-scented climbing plant is tireless in foliage and bloom.
It somewhat reminds me of the fairy tale of "sweet porridge": it grows and grows and grows ...
There is probably no cottage garden without it, and even the shabbiest barn or arbor becomes a focal point when the rich floral splendor appears, as the plant entwines its often wooden "host" with seemingly endless climbing arms.

It is understandable that Yves Rocher repeatedly tries to bring the classic "Chèvrefeuille" from the seventies back to the market in various forms.
What is not understandable is why the original version was discontinued at all back then: I still miss this somewhat old-fashioned and rustic summer scent.

Thus, honeysuckle was once again offered in a new, more modern packaging and with Mediterranean partners as summer friends for the fragrance series "Fraîcheur de Végétale de Chèvrefeuille."
And of course, I had to buy this country child back then. There was no way around it!

The well-known sweet and slightly tart honeysuckle flower aroma, with its hint of honey and jasmine, immediately surrounded me in a friendly and cuddly manner.
Fortunately, unlike "Thé Vert" from the same series, lemon was not chosen as a companion here. Clearly, the honey-jasmine sweetness was supported by a skillfully dosed amount of orange blossom aroma. I vaguely remember also perceiving a hint of bergamot.
Thus, this fragrance girl with the sweet, slightly fresh floral garment gained a heartwarming friend, and the peaks and scratches that lemon often leaves behind were spared from me.

Yes, "Fraîcher Végétale de Chèvrefeuille" is a rather floral-sweet scent that can also seem a bit musty.
We all know what happens to jasmine that is a bit "overripe" - it quietly smells off!
The perception of the musty honeysuckle scent probably goes back to the light undertone of the jasmine note.
I personally experienced this Chèvrefeuille like a lazy high summer day spent in a southern garden: warm, cozy, and friendly. The abundant foliage of the vines provided playful shade in the light breeze, creating a green floral mélange: a true child of the sun indeed!

The longevity of this fresh scent is not particularly great; it is meant as a refreshment and not as a long-lasting daytime fragrance.
And yet, a hint of the delicate floral mixture surrounded me for a long time: more as a notion than as a scent.

I must admit that this fragrance being - like so many from that time - fell into oblivion for me and only came back to mind through browsing here.
After all, I have been using fine soaps with this aroma for years; how could I forget it?
If it really still exists, I will surely bring a bottle with me on my next visit to the Yves Rocher shop: if only for nostalgic reasons!

Floral-herb, fresh-scented pick-me-up
I associate this fragrance with Yves Rocher from the 80s. I recognized it immediately. It is wonderfully natural - fresh, green, floral-herb, a bit soapy, and reminds me of freshly washed laundry. The longevity (4-5 hours!!!) and scent intensity are very good for an Eau de Cologne. Only a few sprays are needed. One cannot dose it as generously as one is used to with other Eau de Colognes.

The scent also works excellently when you have a headache or feel tired. A shower with the shower gel - and my headache is mostly gone. How lovely. And in the morning, when getting out of bed is a struggle, it is currently my favorite fragrance.

Good Reissue
I ventured back to Chevrefeuille after a long break. I had been enthusiastic about the predecessor for a long time, and at some point, the beautiful, icy bottle was no longer available. Now, I discovered an almost full bottle of the old fragrance during the estate clearance of our aunt, who had to move to a nursing home. I sniffed it and was taken with it, so I ordered the reissue. Left arm old fragrance, right arm new fragrance. The new fragrance comes across a little more citrusy at the beginning for me, but later it is indistinguishable from the predecessor. Longevity for a YR fragrance is very long, and this freshness has the potential to become my favorite scent in the warm season again.

Honeysuckle
I haven't tested this new version of the fragrance yet, but I'm afraid it has become just as dreadful, artificial, and cheap as the other new scents from Y.R.
The "old" Honeysuckle was a wonderful, green, fresh, sweet-spicy scent, light and summery and long-lasting.
Upon entering my apartment or office, I was sometimes even asked if someone had hung out fresh laundry.

It's a shame that Y.R. has changed so negatively! I had many of my favorites from there. However, I will still test the new one and report back if I should be positively surprised.

09.03.11 Good news:
I have it now and was able to test it.
The "new" fragrance is in no way inferior to the old one! I think it might even be the same. Only the bottle has been adapted to the spirit of the times. However, I find it ugly.

For lovers of this intensely fragrant climbing plant, it was a "must" back then: a piece of a country garden on the skin, not just in summer.

Herb, fresh, creamy.
Green soap with hints of natural cosmetics cream.
Lovely for a spring morning.

Barely fresh, more herbal and heavy-powdery like old men's aftershave.
The weakest Fraîcheur Végétale, unfortunately the only one still available.
