Belittle Aromatic Fougére precious gem

Did you guys know that Zara international fashion company, for the cold days, presented a spicy woody cologne rich in natural ingredients of the forest? I was hurrying out of Zara when I noticed this brand new scent, with the same bottle yet used for the #Tobacco collection, the 7.0 - 8-0 - 9-0 collection, the recent Night pour Homme I-II-III-IV and few others. All the notes printed on the bottle and the presence of both eucalyptus and cypress captured my attention. Without overthinking I sprayed a whiff on the paper strip and nearly blindly bought it, but did not smell it until I got to the parking lot. Wow! It is not a fragrance, and rather it's a mood.

ZARA Winter Collection smells like a lake, surrounded by pine trees when a cool breeze blows. It reminds me of the mood I feel when I walk through the park. It opens with a refreshing amount of bergamot, mandarin, and black pepper. The amplified burst of zesty combined with the sparkling pepper adds a more metallic start to the intense scent.

The scent moves towards a central balmy-resinous chord of lavender, eucalyptus, cypress, and a tad of orange blossom. The herbal freshness of lavender melds with the white floral reinforcing the crisp and masculine facets.

A dry, sturdy base of well-known cedar, addictive patchouli, and dry amber imparts a crispy drying, prolonging the aromatic effect of the perfume. Patchouli is smooth and modern, not too earthy, and the amber stays in the background, creating a bittersweet aura.

I wore this today at work, and I cherished the complex aromatic collision of spices and woods that lingers and radiates from my neck and clothes all day long. I found it perfect for cold days, and winter is the right season for wearing it, sillage is moderate, whereas longevity is above the average.

A Green Amber Forest

Zara Winter Collection is a Gucci Guilty for man clone. Gucci is more refined, elegant and well finished. Zara is simpler and more linear but it smells good! Zara Winter and Zara Silver are the same perfume with different bottle, name, packaging and price. Zara Silver costs 10.95 euros, Zara Winter costs 15.95 euros per 100ml. It is a fresh scent with green and woody aromatic scents. On the bottom we find one particularly pleasant amber atmosphere. For the price it costs, especially the Silver, it is an excellent proposal! Masculine fragrance suitable for all seasons as it has a fresh scent accompanied by woods, light lavender and final amber. Recommended!

all Zara's clichés in one gorgeous bottle

Putting together a great scent, packing it in a nice looking bottle but performing in a mediocre way... sounds familiar? Zara does that time after time, so many time it has become a cliché but we let it slide because their price tag is so low that we think to ourselves: "I can decant and reapply".
It has happened to all of us, in my case time and time again with Vibrant Leather, Night II, Night III, Zara 8.0, 9.0, C0r4nol, Rich Leather, Rich Warn Addictive, Intense Dark Exclusive and Rich Leather.

Winter Collection is no exception (unintentional rhyme). It's a lovely scent, I fell in love with it at first sniff and love wearing it but performance while not being the worst (by Zara standards) is not good. I read people labeling this as a Gucci Guilty clone and it does bear many parallels to Guilty but I see it more as an interpretations since it does have some twists here and there. I do get mainly amber, cypress and eucalyptus (perhaps hints of lavander).

All and all it is a very nice scent, perhaps one of my favorite by this brand so I don't regret purchasing. I get 4 + hours which is mediocre but good enough to go to the movies and make it back home.

Woody-floral

It starts off aromatic with a citrusy refreshing opening. After that, the perfume behaves stably linear.
I might be mistaken, but I get memories of an aromatic fougère.

Zara Winter Collection is woody, sweet-bitter, and resinous, with green accords and earthy tones. It feels dry, restrained. Sweet at the top, woody cool in the depths.

As for the fragrance notes, they come across as a monolithic composition. They blend into each other so that elements of the fragrance pyramid are often hard to pinpoint individually. Uniform, inseparable. However, after the drydown, the possibilities here expand.

Despite its serially replicated form, it is a beautiful bottle, where the green flows into a transparent black and vice versa. The color scheme seems fitting to the scent impression and the previously mentioned green accords.
The glossy black cap looks nice. The naming is rather a marketing fail. Winter as a guiding motif? Okay, the freshness could be that of a snow-covered coniferous forest in winter. For a winter collection perfume, I personally would have wished for further interpretations of the theme from Zara, like in the recent Forest series.

For the first impression, it is a floral woodsy scent.
A young person stepping out of the darkness in a silky-glossy black jacket, on the way to a party in warmer seasons, or alternatively, a thick flannel shirt in a wooden-paneled cabin with incense in the background during cooler temperatures are conceivable associations. Thus, it is versatile as a perfume.

Maybe I'm just imagining things and interpreting too much into an industrially designed product. Especially in a perfume where I wasn't sure if I would like the quality in the long run (this is especially noticeable on the test strip). The quality as a sum of results might not be there, but as a perfume, I do like it.

Addendum:
As for longevity, it doesn’t seem long-lasting. However, when I worked on my living room upholstery and fabric interior with Zara Winter Collection, it was still subtly fragrant after about 10 hours. Here, however, habituation sets in quickly, and you no longer perceive the scent as distinctly.

The Zara Winter Collection seems obviously to be a scent twin of Guilty Intense pour Homme or Guilty pour Homme Eau de Parfum EdP. Perhaps with its own twist.
You could also easily use Zara Man Silver Eau de Toilette to replace "Guilty pour Homme (Eau de Toilette) | Gucci," but here I was not convinced by the quality of Zara in the long run, unlike with "Zara Winter Collection | Zara."
