Musky, Clean, Floral - another quality bargain from Zara!
After hearing about this one, i thought about buying it for my girlfriend! Well, it's clear that it's a musky, clean and floral scent, and some might say that it's clearly feminine, but i don't see it that way.
First of all, it's another statement from Zara, because this whole line is a real bargain, with such an amazing quality/price ratio, it's really monstruous how Zara manages to sell this fragrances for less than 20€, with such good longevity and "near-niche" quality!
Second, i have to say that i like the smell very much, and i understand that it's a more "feminine" type of scent, but the truth is: all that smells good gotta be unisex after all! And i intend to use this one for a more casual ocasion, or maybe even at work, it will certainly get you compliments from women, who tend to love these types of fragrances on men! So give it a chance, because it's a real deal, a true bragain from Zara.
And it really made me think twice as to why should i spend so much money on some fragrances that are 6-7x more expensive.
Enjoy!

Smells like a mall bathroom / Hollister in 2010
All of my favorite fragrances are amber based but something is off with this one. I have tried to convince myself for days to like it but it just smells like a mall and I can't get over it. I could see it being okay for a winter fragrance its very warm and almost has a masculine scent. Its hard for me to pick up any of the aquatic notes or bergamot and I definitely would not say it is "fresh". Its very strong and long lasting if that is what you are looking for.

A Men's Fragrance from Times Gone By
Now I dare to approach the ZARA fragrances. And since I love amber, my first selected scent is Amber-Fusion.

But what a shock with the first spray. Nothing, absolutely nothing feminine is present in this fragrance. A dry amber wafts towards me. According to the Zara homepage, the fragrance pyramid consists of lily, dry amber, and vanilla. So it's my own fault. Of course, I deliberately overlooked the "dry."

The opening reminds me of the many dry, distinctly masculine scents from my youth. Back then, these dusty, intensely scented men's fragrances were popular among young and older men who didn’t really engage with perfumes. The main thing was a scent that highlighted or rather pretended to highlight supposed masculinity.
Whenever a boy or man sprayed like this sat next to me on the bus or in the subway on the way to school/university, it took my breath away every time - but not really out of excitement.
This piercing smell rose to my nose and my natural instinct to flee kicked in immediately. Get away. As far away as possible from this stinging cloud of scent. Only now do I smell like this. So, where to flee?

To this day, I cannot understand when men believe that sweet scents are only for "softies." Only extremely harsh fragrances are for "real" men. That has changed by now. Thank the gods.

Finally, slowly this piercing dry scent is fading from my wrist. A hint, really just a tiny hint of vanilla breaks through and softens the dry amber-lily mixture. The vanilla deepens, and in the end, the fragrance becomes bearable. But for me, it is still a very masculine scent. For me personally, too masculine, although I enjoy wearing many men's fragrances myself to the chagrin of my husband.

Conclusion: When the first dry scent clouds dissipate - and that takes time - I can well imagine the fragrance on a more mature man. The amber then does not seem too harsh anymore, but elegantly masculine. The vanilla rounds everything off a bit. Patience is therefore the motto. But under no circumstances do I see this scent on a young man.

Favorite Everyday Scent for Winter
First of all, I have never described or reviewed a perfume in my life and I am not familiar with most terms. Also, I don't think I have a refined perfume nose, but I know what I really like and what I don't like at all.
I discovered Amber Fusion (for women) by chance and fell in love immediately. Normally, citrus scents are a bit boring for me, but this one has something special about it and is actually unisex. I could carry the bottle with me all day and sniff it. The scent brings a cheerful mood and you simply can't wear it without feeling good and getting in a good mood right away.
I perceive citrus, aqua, but actually also something very spicy and floral, which is why it is definitely not boring on my skin.

Strangely enough, it smells completely different to me in summer than in winter, and I would never wear it in summer. But in winter, it has immediately become my favorite scent for the day.
I have received compliments several times, and my clothes still smell of Amber Fusion half the day after the 6 AM spritz.

Recently, I read somewhere that it is supposed to be a dupe for Erba Pura. Since I am not personally familiar with that scent, I can't comment on it. Maybe someone can compare the two scents directly and provide feedback.

Very Masculine
I somehow associate these aquatic scents with men. So far, only one aquatic women's fragrance has smelled feminine to me, and that was Davidoff Cool Water Women.
This one smells very masculine, fresh, bergamot, amber...
Unfortunately, it's not really my thing.
I imagined something under the name Amber Fusion to be an amber bomb that finally smells feminine, with the freshness in the background, but unfortunately, the freshness is very much in the foreground.

Asked a friend how does it smell?
"It smells like Sauvage mixed with women's fragrances"
Ambroxan for women.
I had higher expectations.

Unfortunately, no vanilla here for me, similar to "Wood Infusion" by Goldfield & Banks. Very dry wood. Too harsh for me personally.

Woody-dry, the vanilla is only barely noticeable - very well crafted, but too dry for me :). Men can wear it very well.

As if you mixed oriental Montale scents with shower gel fragrances. Not bad, not good, just mediocre.

Starts fresh, has a bit of a shower gel vibe. Then something fruity-woody comes in. Overall fresh-pleasant but nothing special!

Synthetic-woody with sweet vanilla and fruity notes. Only soft and wearable after hours. H+S enormous!

Synthetic jumble. Generic. A bit "lighter" than Red Temptation. Lily yes, but very artificial.

Amber Fusion is, like Amber Petals and Black Amber, simply disappointing for me. Pungent, weak sillage. Zara can't do amber scents.

I find the scent nice, but more for men. Smells like cleanliness.

My favorite easy-to-reach fragrance. An all-rounder that never annoys. Woody, dry, gives a clean feeling. No edges or corners! Subtle on-the-go scent!
