Mango addiction?
Maybe my nose is playing tricks on me, or maybe Marshmallow Addict in the rectangular bottle last year was slightly different from the current cylindrical bottle. I remember that I tried it briefly, really enjoyed it and wanted to retest it, but then it was sold out. It smelled like the older Escada summer editions from the early 2000s to me, maybe a bit like Tropical Punch, and also a bit creamy underneath all the fruitiness. It's definitely a misnomer though, nothing about this scent ever was even remotely reminiscent of marshmallows.
Anyways, I was pretty happy when I saw this come back this year. But when I tested it again, the magic was gone, and it didn't come back while retesting. This is a nice Escada-esque summer fragrance, but it doesn't smell like the older ones from my youth. It's better balanced than some of the more recent editions though (looking at you, Summer Festival, Flor del Sol and Miami Blossom).
The main note is clearly mango, with a fresh, shampoo-ish feeling and enough sweetness to keep it from going sour (a problem I sometimes have with mango). The base is a fluffy white musk that anchors the fruitiness nicely, but it's not quite as creamy as I remember.
A perfectly fine summer option on a budget, but nothing mindblowing, and not even especially outstanding among the other currently available Zara fragrances.
