A whole cosmos of artificial strawberry flavoring
This starts out like a big, sugary strawberry bubblegum, or maybe those foam strawberry gummy candies. Intensely sweet with a dense, almost creamy texture. The opening is cool, but it overstays its welcome and becomes cloying and unpleasantly synthetic, as if the gummy candys were sweetened with aspartame instead of sugar.
I can't say that it reminds me of the vastness of the cosmos in any way. According to the brand, a regolith note is meant to accomplish that. If you are as clueless as I was: Regolith is a blanket of loose material, including dust and broken rocks, formed on rocky planets in the solar system over an underlying parent material. Parfumo just lists it as "mineral notes" as I'm writing this review.
At first I thought I didn't smell any mineral notes at all, but now I think I get it. Mineral notes and sweet strawberry bubblegum just don't go together. They add a metallic coldness that makes the strawberry too artificial to be appetizing. Vanilla and salted caramel can't save it.
To me, this fragrance is neither here or there. I would have liked it more if it was warmer, with more vanilla, and the minerals maybe emphasizing the saltiness of the caramel note, but fully leaning into the space theme and making something innovative would also have been a great idea. They way it is, it's just another strawberry flavor scent that starts out nice and gets on my nerves after a while.
